YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Making it to semifinals like. #AGT
YES Siro-A and Drew Lynch (even if you don’t watch America’s Got Talent you should check him out) are through to semifinals!!
And Three Shades of Blue (aka best act this season) is on next week :)
Siro-A is so excited and they just can't hide it that they made it through! #AGTResults
SIRO A IS LITERALLY SO DAMN COOL I SWEAR like there's been so many electric dancers but NEVER ones who had to be THAT in sync and took THAT much risk. Literally my favorite act this year I'm off to vote for them bye
SIRO-A wants to tell you a joke. #TradingTalents
twobadbananas at HyperJapan 2013
Greetings my lovely flowerpots! Today is my birthday, so after being SUPER exciting and going to Homebase to buy dust sheets (we're having new windows in our house tomorrow) and having tea at Frankie and Benny's, I thought I'd use some of my "down-time" to write you all a little review of HyperJapan 2013.
Above you can see a picture of my stall in all its glory. I feel like I get better and better at the display each time I do it. I'm planning a blog post on how I made my nifty new cloud display boards soon. But for now I can regale you with the delights of HyperJapan 2013.
This year saw the event move to Earls Court 2, its biggest venue yet. With the stage attractions including Yun*Chi, Geisha Sayuki, and the fantastic Siro-A, there were a plethora of tasty food stalls to sample, an entire gaming area, as well as stalls selling everything from Japanese cosmetics to cuddly Alpaca plushies.
Despite being tied to the stall a lot of the time, I did manage to take quite a few pics, all of which went on the twobadbananas twitter account, and I've cherry picked my faves for the blog. The next photo is of my favourite Cosplayer at the event. This little dude ROCKED! When I have kids, I hope they are half as cool as him!
Of course I did buy myself a couple of treats, all from the lovely Emumu at the Kawaii Kollective. She's got a fantastic selection of Kigs, super cute knick knack zakka, and Arpakasso (Alpaca Plushies). I bought myself a cat straw hat, and two pairs of Hello Kitty glasses, and this cheekie chappie came to look at my stall. I just had to take a photo of him because my boyfriend and my lovely helper Emma are from Scotland!
We met up with old friends Cakes With Faces, Roxie Sweetheart, Miwary, and Something Kawaii, and made new friends with Phantasy Phones, who make jaw dropping decoden phone cases. Miwa from Miwary was lucky enough to get interviewed TWICE, whilst Amy from Cakes With Faces got interviewed once, and Jarvis Cocker came to her stall and bought a t-shirt for his son!!!
Jarvis Cocker may not have been to my stall, but I did meet some absolutely lovely customers who were lovely to chat to and said such nice things to me about my jewellery, including this chap who was a dentist and thought that the Molly the Molar necklace was the best thing he'd ever seen! I also made contacts with people running future events, such as the Brighton Japan Festival, and the Clothes Show Live (eeek!). Probably my most unusual visitor was a member of Siro-A - when not on stage they took to promoting their show by wandering round the venue perfoming mime whilst wearing giant paper tubes! They were a great hit with everyone both on and off-stage, and everyone affectionately referred to them as "Tube-Men!"
Thanks for reading, and if I met you there, thanks for coming to say hi! It was lovely to meet you :-) A special thank you too to @Emzlebub who was my willing helper and partner in crime for the weekend, I couldn't have done it without her! I'm already looking forward to next year!
