Individual recs - August 2020

This was a very special month as I recced some of my all-time favorite fics! I remember doing a special recs week dedicated to the 8th year trope and another one for short fics, and I went all out reccing new gems and reblogging some older recs. Plus, Wireless 2020 was a banger and Modern Love by @tackytigerfic became the longest, most personal rec I had written so far. After those long rambling paragraphs it was impossible to go back to short reviews, it felt like something clicked and changed my process forever. Individual recs - May 2020

Happy Sunday! The amazing @thebooktopus recently posted her masterlist of individual recs and inspired me to do the same, hoping to keep track of this mess if nothing else. I was worried curious to see how much work this would take, and after going through my own archive (ty SS for showing me how!) I was shocked to realize that all of these were posted on the blog’s first month. 80 recs in 30 days is something I’ll never be able to do again. Most of them are on the short side (how did I ever manage two-line reviews? who knows, not me) but over time they turned into 3+ rambling paragraphs.
