This weekend my son spent about 18 hours being sick. Could've been something he ate or a short lived stomach bug, but suffice it to say there were more messes and less sleep had than needed. He, of course, is now racing into spring break fully recovered while I'm here wishing I still kept coffee in the house. Instead, I bought myself some flowers and sat down with my neverending cowl using the #colortheoryblanket leftovers. I say neverending because I keep frogging it at the 11th hour and restarting it! You'll notice this is the same spot where I paused to film the yarn butterfly tutorial a few weeks ago? Yeah, just getting back there! But it's a couple inches bigger now. And you know what? I'm not even frustrated about redoing it because the #specklewerkcowl is such a relaxing make that I can even work on it in zombie mom mode! And sometimes we all need a project like that. If that's you right now, too, you can find the pattern for free on my website or for a small fee on Ravelry or in my Etsy shop. Drink a cup of coffee for me while you make yours, though? Yarn from #sixandsevenfiber. Flowers are waxflowers, I think, in the myrtle family? https://www.instagram.com/p/CbqcLBnvbhC/?utm_medium=tumblr
