I illustrated a gift-book on the Norwegian show SKAM. The book is in Swedish. I was told that if it sells well it might be translated into English (we all know the worldwide success of SKAM). You can purchase it here or here (and if you live in Sweden, you can find it in most bookstores there since the book is promoted by Akademibokhandeln, one of the biggest retailer chains in Sweden). 

It's a small book (155x155mm) of 96 pages. It contains informations about the characters and locations of the show, as well as fun facts about Norway and its culture. There are also fun plays, a SKAM-playlist, and a "make your own SKAM party" chapter. Moreover (though it would only be understood my Swedish-speaking fans), there are puns about the similarities between Norwegian & Swedish, related to SKAM.

About the illustrations I made, you may have recognized the cover, but I also made tons of new drawings for this book! Also we have been working fast while season four was airing, so it's up to date with Sana's storyline! Thank you in advance for sharing the links and supporting this book, I'm 19 and this is the very first time I illustrate a book and I'm glad it was on SKAM.

Now I'll talk about how everything happened! So for those who were wondering, I did not initiate this project. The Swedish publishing company Tukan Förlag reached out to me after they found my illustration of the girls on Internet. As some of you already know, this drawing have been reposted everywhere. Many people have erased my signature, cropped the image, edited the background, etc. Even people from Russia made money off of my SKAM fanarts by printing them and making stickers as if they owned the rights. Being so powerless made me feel really upset. And down. And sick. Even when I asked people to give the credits when they reposted my art, some answered to me "who says that you are the one who made it? it is everywhere on internet". Yet I POSTED SO MANY WORK-IN-PROGRESS PICTURES ON SOCIAL MEDIAS. Anyway, imagine my happiness when a publishing company found my drawing of the girls (luckily a version with my signature still on it) and asked me to work w/ them on a book. That is the bright side of the story. I was honestly overwhelmed because I really felt sick after the whole art thieves from Russia story. Anyway, so I was told what the book was about and loved the project! They translated the working sheets for me to do my part of the job, and a few months later, here I am holding my very first baby-book in my own hands!

Long story short: the whole SKAM experience from the first time I watched the show back in November 2016 to illustrating this book was a rollercoaster of emotions & I am glad it ended the way it did. I would like to thank my twin sister without whom I would probably have never heard of SKAM. I would like to thank the people who have kindly shared my art (without reposting or erasing my signature) and left kind comments on my fanarts. I am so grateful for the existence of this show that is so close to what life is like.
