I didn’t think anyone would come close to unseating Gio as my favorite “Jonas” but Jakov has entered the chat. (a very close second)

With the upcoming addition to the big SKAM family, two new boys from the Croatian version will be joining. So here I’m just rambling a bit about the BL/GL Skam Universe

1. SKAM OG – Even/Isak The OG - the blueprint of them all. My favorite scene is when they talk about string theory—about how in other universes, they still have each other. It really feels like the birth of an entire universe where all the Evak versions end up together.

2. wtFOCK – Skam Belgium – Robbe/Sander Coming later than the others, this version has more plot twists and more filler to reflect the social realities of that time.

I also really love the supporting character Milan, Robbe’s roommate—the one who had to put up with him. Milan is the person who talked to Robbe and helped him untangle his doubts. He’s also the one who cried when he found out that the two of them had been attacked by homophobic people…

3. Druck – David/Matteo – The softest For me, Druck is the most special remake—the most different, and it stands out in the sweetest way. There was a plot twist I genuinely didn’t see coming =)))))

Matteo in the German version is a lazy kid, depressed and fed up with everything—even his crush at the time. Then David comes along and warms his heart, giving him light and the energy to keep going. Their love is so soft, gentle, and full of compassion.

4. Skam Italia (Season 2) – Martino/Niccolò These two give off such an “older brother” vibe compare to others Evak versions. They look very mature, but once they’re in love they become adorably clueless and soft for each other.

The romance arc and overall structure are quite similar to the OG version. However, what I really love about the Italian remake is how they weave culture into the story—so many distinct Italian elements—along with the changes in how Martino’s friend group is written. Hands down the best friend group in Skam. I love their bonding, and the way they immediately welcomed Nico into the group once they knew about the relationship.

5. Skam France – Lucas/Elliot There are so many beautiful, striking, and artistic shots. France really delivers a perfect 10/10 when it comes to visuals. The plot still follows the OG quite closely.

6. Skam España – Cris/Joana – The only GL Both the writing and the character development are handled very thoroughly. Cris goes through a lot and grows so much, learning how to love and how to be loved. The cinematography is gorgeous—and since it’s a female-led version, the beauty is multiplied by ten.

It’s the only GL version in a house full of men =))))) my two queens rule them all.
