Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix Reread - Chapter 2 & 3

Dumbledore is FUCKED UP. How are you just gonna leave Harry at the Dursleys after he’s witnessed the death of Cedric and the return of fucking Voldemort and just have him stay at his abusive family’s house without any support or information?! Like how fuck? How does that keep him safe exactly? 

Just fucking tell him, “Shit is going down. Communication is compromised.” Or just fucking get him out the Dursley’s house as soon as he’s been there long enough for that damn family/love/petunia spell to work. Or you know, TELL HIM THAT’S WHY HE HAS TO STAY AT THE DURSLEY’S EVERY YEAR. Christ. 

Ms. Figg for years keeping an eye on Harry and couldn’t let him “have fun” at her place? She couldn’t have told him to not tell the Dursleys he liked going there. Harry was already damn good at not telling them anything. He couldn’t have any escape from them? UGH. 

Anyways... I’m glad about Remus and Tonks making their appearance in this part though. The one fucking bright spot. And Harry flying. He’s always happiest when he gets to fly. 

(Obviously I know the story would be super different if Dumbledore wasn’t all ::mysterious::, but I’m still annoyed about it.)

After I left, Layla and Alexis sat and chatted, effectively getting their own speed date of sorts in.

Day Twelve: Speed Dates

Alexis took Layla to the bowling alley. They bowled absolutely terribly, but chatted the whole time. 

Unfortunately, when Alexis sat next to Layla and tried to wrap her arm around her, she was once again shoved off. Sigh.
