Reasons to back my ace / demiromantic Jack Skellington headcanon:

- he’s flustered, overwhelmed, and/or unhappy with praise given with romantic overtones (see the witches and lake monster in the first scene)

- as a skeleton he has no junk to use anyway

- he sings “they’re hanging mistletoe / they kiss? / why that looks so unique/ inspired!” then promptly never tells the town about it or use mistletoe in any Christmas plans

- he takes no special interest in Sally beyond platonic until he sees that she tried to fix his mistakes, having seen his errors, proving that she doesn’t idolize him as unquestionably perfect king and actually cares about him as a person
