Well, this was something he predicted would eventually happen. After all he could only get away with the activity for so long, until somebody or something approached him on the matter. Firing arrows on a target was far from a crime in truth, but maybe the target being on a tree in a public park could spark some concern. The worry that he might miss, yeah he understood that. Though with his aim, it couldn’t be any closer to safe. 

A tangible feel of disgruntled air could be detected from his eyes alone for the person who approached. Either they were bold, or they just couldn’t tell. Regardless of which, he’d comment on them once they got close enough. Bow would even be lowered, showing his attention shifting. “I’m not disturbing anyone, if that’s why you came over?”

      THERE IS SOMETHING NOVEL ABOUT IT ALL. That which she finds unordinary is cosmic to witness; to view the earth in this grandeur --  with only the light of the stars to guide them -- is truly mystical. It is as if her travels have brought her to the Ends of the World. Alas, she knows that the illusion holds its falsehoods. Rhongomyniad would be with her yet if it were not so, and her companions by her side. 

       Knowing that this is a scheme brought forth by a greater force urges her to mitigate her enjoyment. Hearsay warns that this will not last -- that this land knows far more than just this temporal peace. Perhaps it is the warmonger in her that declares it so.

       In the eyes of others, this is a time for festivities. For merrymaking and joy, for women and men alike to frolic about as they see fit, flocking to whomever lights the way. King Arthur sets her sights on a tree lavished with decor in the middle of the square, eyes keen on a group of children singing rhymes. 

       To nobody in particular, she voices her thoughts. “In the olden days, we did not think to celebrate the coming of Christ this way. Such revelry was kin to folly, and would have been taken as an outbreak of indulgent madness among peasants. ...However, the way that things are now, I do not oppose it. I would have been fooled were someone to tell me these individuals were prisoners.”

Ugh, Bernadetta hated herself so much...she’d wanted simply to tell the blonde girl that she liked the detail on her outfit, but she had spent too long mustering the courage to do so. However, instead of giving up and walking away, she’d ended up following the girl around.

“Now you’ve made a mess of things, Bernie...“ The girl seemed like a nice person, but even a nice person would find it strange for someone to follow them for a long time without saying anything! She could have made a new friend, but instead, she’d missed her chance!

Well, since she probably wouldn’t want to be friends now, or even talk, Bernadetta decided to finally say what she’d been thinking. It wasn’t like she had anything else to lose. “I-I...” She took a deep breath. “I-I think your outfit is really cute!”

“So they have snow sculpting here.” It was an activity he heard of, but never participated in. Nathaniel had minimal, if any sort of artistic talent, so he never bothered to create anything out of snow. Or create anything, for that matter.

Still, it was nice to look around and see the creations others made, since some of them truly were works of art.

As he walked around, there was a sculpture that caught his eye. It was a building of some sort, and upon closer inspection, looked like one of the many hotels that his former employer owned. In fact, it looked suspiciously like one they had been residing in prior to arriving in Yokohama.

Surely this was a coincidence.

“I don’t suppose you know how to make a gingerbread house? I... probably should have asked that first...” In hindsight, perhaps it would have been better if he had instead gone and bought some gingerbread himself to eat. But where was the fun in that? While he was incredibly reluctant, and perhaps a little embarrassed about it, making a gingerbread house seemed like a decent way to make a new friend... Probably. 

Thankfully, all they really had to do was put the gingerbread house together, actually baking the thing would likely take so much longer— and while he could probably do so if he tried, he lacked patience. With a shrug, he looks at the pieces of the gingerbread house, carefully sorting them into different piles.

“Anyway, I think the bigger pieces are for the walls, then these two I think are for the roof? Gods, just looking at this is making me hungry...”

     ROYAL BALLS WERE ONCE RESERVED for only the most exclusive primadonnas of society. The act of dancing, in and of itself, was an art formerly coached to her as a budding king. Countless times has she taken the hand of Queen Guinevere in banquets tailored to curious eyes; tracing circles of habit with their heels in a manner only the two of them knew as mechanical. 

      Deception could not find a place here. Lady Djeeta’s waltz was more of a frolic, buoyant personality bursting with every vibrant turn she swerved them in. King Arthur initially intended to lead, but when the sun shone in her eyes and she found herself blindsided by her cohort’s sway, she hadn’t the heart to contest it.

       “It would appear you are right. I did not think to entertain the thought of dance, but I now find myself preferring to be a part of the festivities rather than not. Was this how you celebrated back at home, I wonder?”

     “Ah, you really didn’t have to…”

     Really, she had it under control, or at least she thought she did. It’s funny how she can be one to extend a helping hand whenever needed, but she’ll be hesitant to accept help in return. Perhaps she was too stubborn for her own good, or that she just didn’t want to be a inconvenience.

     But…she really could use the help now that she thinks about it. This wasn’t really something she could do on her own, and having an extra set of hands would be good.

     Even if it’s something just as simple as shopping. There really was too much for her to be doing on her own after all.

     “But if you really want to help, then I won’t say no. After all, two heads are better than one, no?”
