I honestly don’t know if anyone wondered or cared where I have been this past year, but if you did I’ll clear it up for you!

It’s nothing terrible or bad it’s actually wonderful why I haven’t been able to cosplay or post so much on YouTube or this Tumblr. I’ve started to go to school for what I finally want to do and that is acting! I love cosplaying it is a huge part of my life, but I’ve always wanted to perform professionally and I finally took that step this past year. Here I’ll give you a play by play.

Last year I graduated from my local community college with an associates in arts.

Last July I was accepted into Wayne State University and their theater department.

Last December I was accepted into their selected BFA program for performance.

Now what does this all mean? I am so so so busy during the school year. When I was going to community I was enrolled part time, only had to go to school two days a week and worked five days. So that left a lot of time (and money) to cosplay. Now that I’m at Wayne I have to be a full time student to graduate on time and maintain a 3.5 GPA to keep both my scholarship and my place in the program. Also I have rehearsal anywhere from 2 – 6 days a week AND a job. It’s a lot! I wish I had more time to do and make cosplay, but sometimes you have to cut back just so you can succeed in something else. (I am also the most unmotivated person ever but that’s a different story).

So with that all said I’m not going to make any promises about dishing out a lot of cosplays or being more active during the summer because hey life happens! I have no idea what can come up! But I will say after almost a year of partial retirement? I am going to attempt to make a new cosplay from scratch! I haven’t done a project like this since Pyrrha but, I think I have taken a long enough break that I am ready. Especially since I want to make Red from Transistor hopefully soon but, I think I need a nice buffer between her and not sewing for almost a year. So I’m gonna make a different cosplay first. I’m super excited about making this character, I’ve been wanting to cosplay them for a few years. One nice thing is that this is a cosplay just for me! I’m not a part of a group or have a partner it’s just me! I haven’t done that before either, I love cosplaying with my friends, it’s so much fun that is honestly one of my favorite things about cosplay. But I don’t like the expectations that I set for myself when I cosplay with other people .I have a lot of expectations on myself as it is but when cosplaying with other people I am terrified of not being at the same caliber as they are .I just don’t want to disappoint anyone with what I created. So at least this way I can do my best, and not have to worry about disappointing others. Which is something I struggle with.

I am HOPING (hahaha see what I did here) to get this costume done by glass city if not oh well no promises no stress. So who am I going to cosplay, that’s up to you to find out! I kinda want to keep it a secret, I don’t think even my close friends know! I hope this message cleared up any questions anyone had! Thanks for reading and thanks for sticking with me! 1) What’s something you ate that you shouldn’t have?

I used to eat sand when I was a kid, I remember that there were some ants that used to accidentally get in with the sand... more recently I was having a cosplay photoshoot adventure in North Dakota with friends and we stayed at their apartment for the night, drunk Truth or Dare ensued and I was dared to eat a few pieces of my friends’ rabbits’ food. I did it, but it was easily the nastiest shit I have ever tasted, bleh!

2) Dumbest fear?

Thunderstorms. I’m working on getting over it though, Alyssa took me out and we sat in my yard together in a storm when she came to visit. It was frightening, but she held my hand and I just got to sit there and face it and adjust. Since then I still get nervous and scared but I am no where near as bad as I used to be, so I think I’m on the right path to getting over my dumb fear! It’ll just take more time and exposure, that first sitting in the storm really broke my biggest barrier though :)

3) One pet peeve

Hmmm.... This is hard because I’m so forgiving of others generally... Probably when I ask someone for their opinion or input and they tell me something along the lines of “Whatever you think is best.”, I asked them for their opinion for a reason, of course I already know what I’m thinking!!

4) Favorite song lyric (if you had to choose a really good one)

Couldn’t choose just one line, here’s a favorite lyric blip of mine:

ELPHABA FROM WICKED.

6)Silliest cosplay you still really want to do.

I don’t know if any of mine I want to do are necessarily silly... hmmm... I know my friends were wanting to talk me into doing Excalibur from Soul Eater XDD

7) Would you go to the future or the past?

Hmm... I think the past, I’d rather go back and experience cool things that have happened and that I know the outcome of, I think I’d rather leave the future as a mystery.

8) Something silly you’re not sure if you actually believe in but you’re kind of paranoid?

Ghosties for sure! Also the afterlife, I believe in an afterlife but mostly because I’m paranoid about there not being anything after death, it scares me.

9) Things you wish you were allergic to?

I wish I WAS allergic to? Hmm... Probably seafood because then I’d have a legitimate reason to not eat it or not want to eat it and not just that I dislike it!

10) If you had to get plastic surgery, what would you get done? (could be anything, even your toe).

If I had to I’d get my jaw changed so it wasn’t so round and was more angular and narrow, I don’t care much for my jaw shape, I’m learning to like it and live with it though, I’d never actually get plastic surgery!

11) What’s the grossest thing you’ve ever seen?

Alyssa’s face.

Haha, nah nah, I’m kidding, she’s handsome ;P The grossest thing I’ve ever seen was probably when I was a kid and I was walking to the bus stop early in the morning, there was this rabbit lying out on the side of the street and it looked perfectly normal with its eyes open. Little seven year old me (I think I was about seven...) was like “Woah!! There’s this rabbit just calmly laying on its tummy!” So I get closer and that’s when I stood there and cried. The side of the rabbit facing me was perfectly untouched and looked completely normal, the other side however was entirely ripped open like it’d gotten pulverized by part of a car’s tire. I could see all of its insides and there were flies and maggots eating away at its organs. Needless to say, my poor little animal loving heart was quite crushed and I was fairly traumatized. I still have a clear image of that half of a rabbit in my mind, bleh...
