Skilled Nominated Work Visa (Subclass 190)
The skilled nominated work visa is intended for skilled workers in Australia. The subclass 190 visa is a point-based visa that requires at least 65 points. Permanent residence is granted after a person is granted a skilled nominated subclass by a state government and satisfies the eligibility conditions.
Process of Skilled Nominated Work Visa (Subclass 190)?
1. Initial Eligibility
The first thing that you have to do is a preliminary check to see if you are eligible for this visa. This entails assessing your qualifications, job experience, English language proficiency, and other factors to determine whether you are likely to satisfy the necessary criteria.
Then find out which MLTSSL occupation(s) you are likely to be able to nominate as part of this first eligibility assessment, as well as whether or not you are possibly eligible for a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for that occupation.
2. Skills Assessment
You have to prepare your skills assessment application if your first evaluation indicates that you are eligible for a positive skills assessment and EOI. The Department of Immigration has designated assessing authority for each skilled occupation listed on the MLTSSL that may conduct skills assessments for that occupation.
3. Expression Of Interest (EOI)
Prepare and submit your EOI once you have obtained a favorable skills evaluation from the skills evaluating authority. Although you do not need to provide supporting papers at this point, you must be able to demonstrate that the information provided in the EOI is accurate at the time you are invited to apply for the visa.
The Department of Immigration will then provide you a result and a points score, which will be used to rank you against other candidates who have submitted EOIs for this visa. Part of the rating is determined by whether or not your employment demands a skill that Australia requires at the time your EOI is evaluated. If your EOI is accepted, you will be asked to apply for a visa.
4. Visa Application
Once the Department of Immigration has invited you to apply for this visa, prepare and lodge your visa application, along with any supporting papers, within the timeframe indicated by the Department of Immigration.
This contains your skills evaluation, English language test results, qualifications, job references, and any other documents that are requested. You will be awarded a permanent visa if your visa application is accepted. When your visa is approved, you may be in Australia or abroad.
