Here are 5 tips to help you on your way to marketing your music online.
Tip 1 : Social Media
Without a doubt, this is where you are going to grow your audience. Get busy and stay active regularly to keep your fans engaged and wanting to come back for more. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Reverbnation are some of the best platforms for artists to get their names out there! It may be tough at the start to build up your audience but be patient and also consider boosting your ads with paid advertising as this can be a very effective way of getting new fans.
Keep your content short and sweet. Get straight to the point! Try and use these social platforms as bait while the main intention is to get your audience to click onto your website where you should have plenty of call-to-actions to make sure they engage and are locked in.
Tip 2 : Official Website
We strongly recommend developing an official WordPress website that is user-friendly and that showcases each aspect of what you do. To help you get ideas for the design and features of your site, we recommend searching Google for some of your favorite artists websites. Do NOT just steal their ideas and designs use these sites as a source of inspiration and guidance.

Tip 3 : Blogs & Newsletter Subscription
Regular blogging and sending out Newsletters are key areas of keeping your fans engaged. We recommend sending one to two blogs/newsletters maximum per month. Competitions and giveaways are also a great way of engaging with your audience.
When writing blog/newsletter articles a minimum of 500 words is best, whilst a maximum of 1000 is the usual target area. Keep your content fresh and exciting and be sure to include eye-catching images. Links to other sites that relate to your article is another great way to get exposure and to network/receive backlinks for your SEO campaign.
Tip 4: Youtube/Vlogs
It’s been proven that people respond better to videos and there’s no better way to get exposure for this than Youtube. Videos these days do NOT need to have big budgets as you can record VLOG’s with a smartphone that will deliver great results. Get smart, get creative and start directing your band’s videos to your online audience.

Welcome, all! The end of the year has arrived and what a year it has been. Skouterz has been working extremely hard on creating exciting new opportunities to ensure that we have a power-house 2020!
Our network is growing steadily and in 2019 we achieved some incredible milestones. We now have representatives in over 10 major countries and there are more on their way. The increase in exposure in these countries are delivering Skouterz amazing results and are also creating new opportunities for our team.
It’s nice to see that we are receiving applications all the way from the tiny island of Mauritius. Some of the photographs of the models that we received were out of this world! We’re certain that our brand partners are going to be excited by some of these applications.
We are making plans to open up our very first office in Sydney. This is very exciting news as we have mainly been trading online for quite some time now. Skouterz also plans on creating professional photography facilities to accommodate the local talent. This now gives us the opportunity to meet our applicants face-to-face and also to improve their profiles by offering professional photoshoots.
We are currently working on our promotional video series that will be launched early next year. These videos will include customer feedbacks and will also include our sponsors. Branching out into the Video/Vlog side of the internet is quite exciting and we look forward to delivering you entertaining and informative videos.

How do you create a buzz in the busy Music Industry? Well, that’s what most aspiring artists want to know. Based on our experience and the stories shared with us from professionals within the industry, the best way to create a buzz is to do your own thing and to mainly focus on building your own fanbase.
Record labels are always searching for what and who is in demand. If you’re in demand, and you have a large enough fanbase then your already halfway there! A solid fanbase with a minimum of 10,000 registered fans is the starting point for most labels to start paying attention to you. This can be achieved in various ways but patience and persistence are the most important virtues needed on your journey.
The best and most obvious way to grow your fanbase is with a Social Media campaign that drives visitors to your Website where hopefully you can get them to subscribe to your mailing list in order for them to stay up-to-date and for you to communicate with them. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your social posts and blogs and get creative by offering giveaways or a competition for your audience to engage with. Another killer idea is to get your audience involved in a competition to come up with your next album name. This gives them inclusion in your project and will make them feel like part of the crew!
Keep your fans happy with freebies and exclusive content. Promise them by signing up to your mailing list, they will be rewarded. Make them feel like they are part of an exclusive VIP club. Create a build-up and then offer them exclusive backstage content or an incentive to purchase your music or even song snippets before they are released.
And remember if you do manage to create a big enough buzz in the music industry, then you have the power! If you can get record labels fighting over your signature instead of the other way around, then you are the KING! This is the ultimate position to be in if you are looking to get signed by a major record label. Don’t rush in, do your homework, get advice from the experts and don’t forget to keep on growing and being loyal to your FANBASE!

It’s that time again! It’s been a busy month and it’s proving to be an extremely busy end to what’s been a fantastic year. 2019 has been a very productive year with many ideas coming into fruition.
Here is just a quick update of some of the exciting things that are happening in November.
Our website upgrade is almost complete! We expect the new site to be launched in December and we are extremely satisfied with its development and its stunning design. We will be notifying all of our clients when the site is officially live and we will be promoting many exciting offers and discounts. Please feel free to contact us with any site suggestions that you may have. We will take all requests onboard with the aim of improving our services.
In the new year, we will be launching our new profile database. All of our partners will now have live access to the database. Unfortunately due to privacy reasons, subscribers will not be allowed access to the database however, you can receive a link/copy of your own profile. We will be notifying you all once the database is live.
Our marketing team has completed our 2020 Advertising Campaign. Next year is going to be a huge year for Skouterz with our prime focus on Google SEO and Video Campaigns. We plan on growing our own Youtube channel with the aim of inviting our clients and partners to feature and also industry experts to give advice. Please stay tuned for this one as it’s going to be super exciting!
We are so proud to announce that we will be having new partners coming on board in 2020 from Japan, Germany, New Zealand, England, and Switzerland. This is a great achievement and the requests that we have been receiving from these countries will now have a lot more opportunities to be matched to. Great work to all of the team and we look forward to continually expanding globally.

October is here and we have some interesting news for you. It’s been a great month internally and our future plans are super exciting. We look forward to closing the year off with a bang and starting the new one likewise!
We’re starting to slowly get our Social Media act together! Yes, that’s right, we are joining the mad online crowd by putting a huge push on Social Media over the next 12 months. We know, we’re a bit late on the bandwagon but we’ve finally decided to jump on board and have a dedicated person focusing on the online social world. We see this as a great way to expand our avenues and grow our network. Look out for our future social posts that will include quality information and exciting opportunities.
We’re planning a huge online campaign for 2020! It will be a wide-spread, in-depth campaign that will take Skouterz to the next online level. We have so many promotions and programs coming, where everyone benefits and we all win! Be sure to stay up-to-date with us to be notified of our progress and exclusive offers that will be too good to resist.
From time-to-time, we get requests for acting roles. Even though this is not our domain, the structures are closely linked to the modeling and music industries. We have decided to start submitting some of our applicants for commercial roles, movie roles, parts in TV series, plus more. We will contact you for your permission prior to sending your profiles out. We are not putting a push on this department but our efforts would be wasted if we didn’t pass these opportunities on. Many models and musicians have basic acting skills and are suitable for some of the requests that we receive.
We are in the process of putting together some very interesting discounts and subscription packages for various promotions. Most of the discounts will only be available for a short period of time so please be sure to keep your eyes open and follow us for these exciting offers.
