After watching 'Race with the Demon!' on Friday, it reminded me of one of my fav issues of TMNT from volume 1, number 30 printed in June 1990 art and story by Rick Veitch (who's best known for DC's The Swamp Thing)

My youngest wanted to read the comic and I pulled it from the vault to share with him this morning and thought I might as well spread the love.

This is where Raph puts it together that the drivers are being affected by the dimension in horrible ways. Also, note what Raph says in the bottom panel in response to the compliment given.

Raph...you're freaking adorable and I'm sure your Pa would be proud. 

Below, Raph is worried about his frantic friend and pulls off Casey's mask to reveal that he's been mutated as well. 

It's such a cool issue. I recommend reading it for cool monsters, the art, and especially the snark between Mikey and Don not to mention that Leo's last thought before plummeting to his certain doom was 'Now I'll never get my license.' XD
