Here's a little advice for Eden Runs. (If u want)

Don't stall on fireplaces. You can of course recharge there, but don't stay for too long, once the hail stops- RUN, RUN THERE IS NO TOMORROW INTO THE NEXT FIRE SHRINE. (While getting some statues lit on the way)

The shards still partially hit you even under cover, so once you see an opportunity RUN, if you keep going back and forth to a lit fire shrine whenever you get hit, you'll just waste your time stalling when you could have gotten those statues wing-lighted (I made up that term).

I advise NOT doing this pattern (coz you'll be doomed):

Light Torch

Leave

Attempts to insert wing light into statue

Get hit by shard

Go back to the torch

Recharge

Still get hit by shard

Recharge

Attempts to leave

Gets hit by shard again

Go back to the same torch

And over and over again

You're just gonna waste time and wing lights that could've been inside the Statues already.

Just keep running whilst jumping, that way you minimize your chance of getting hit by a shard.

Sky COTL: Ancient Memories

The memory fragments that we see at the end of every shard event may not be so different to the memories of spirits we relive. When we relive spirits we see glimpses of their past lives, we can see different events happening in different time periods. In the Ancient Memories we are also seeing the same thing, except that it’s from the creatures of light and the memories are about the same event through different perspectives. That event could be the eruption of Eden, the time where everything started going down. 

The third memory shows the mantas from Eden, trying to survive against the engulfing darkness and crushing stones. It seems that they were also trapped, after all they are used as a power source, people wouldn't want their resources to fly away (that would be bad for the economy 🙃). The only thing that they could desperately fly to was the beacons of light they could see (just like us trying to find fire when we get extinguished). This memory reminds me of a flock of birds flying away from danger, trying desperately to survive while the world around them gets covered in darkness. The other memories are also worth mentioning (like the jellyfishes and pre-corrupted crabs), however the manta memory is the one that actually struck me, hence its the representative I chose.

This is the poem thingy about the mantas TGC posted ⬇️

Soft wings flowing to bright beacons; Drawn from the path, trusting until too late; Bound in a merciless harness; Soft wings despairing against stone

Even though we see memories of our ancestors suffering of starvation, fear, dread, and loss; the memories of the creatures hits harder because you know they have done nothing wrong. These creatures were used and probably exploited by the Skytizens, and now have to experience the consequences of their actions (just like marine animals affected from pollution in real life). Even though the game suggests that darkness is the “bad guy” here (like how we blame global warming for endangering many species 😒), that may not be the full story, our spirit ancestors have done some pretty screwed up things that led to their demise (like what we humans commonly do), it’s worst that they even dragged the poor creatures with them (like *ahem* *ahem*, us destroying mother nature... 👀)

Season of Shattering has been both a blessing and a curse to us sky kids. It’s a HUGE pain in the arse for many players (including me who lost five winged lights just to see the manta memory again 😤); but for us theorists who seek more information, it’s a good addition to the game. I mean, we are only at memory #3 and sky kids are already losing their minds 🤣. I’m looking forward to seeing the other memories, perhaps we could have more info about the intriguing krills 🦐👀, or a story of what the frig really happened 🤷. Honestly, I came to this season feeling a bit salty, but now I’m starting to appreciate the beauty of it 😅.

All the past seasons have always been about our spirit ancestors, meanwhile this season is mostly about the creatures and focuses mostly on the events that occurred in Eden (which is great coz they give us so little lore, we literally have to scrape the bottom of the bowl for information 😐). I have a much deeper theory about this but it’s hard to elaborate and this is getting a bit long. 😅

I got banned from Official Sky FB Group

So uhh yeah, I got permanently banned (I think) From the Official: Sky Children of the Light Community.

I have absolutely no idea what rule I broke this time. But y'all won't see any of my memes there anymore. Or my Aurora art since I didn't get to post it.

Of course I'm still on the verge of crying for this shit, but at this point I'm on my last straw and I'm tired of their bullshit.

For a game that is supposed to be inclusive and ✨nicey-nicey✨ they are not so forgiving and considerate. All of my offences were not even really harmful.

I absolutely love Sky with my whole HEART AND SOUL, and the community is the best thing ever. It's painful to have that connection severed, since I posted so many things in there and that group was one of the main reasons I still continue to play the game, but ahrgh… (ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ) *teary eyed* I guess that won't be returned.

Somehow I wish that I didn't even post in that group in the first place, so I wouldn't be mourning anything.

Rest in peace Dark Noot, your memes and art shall be buried deep down in the dirt of inconsideration. 🙃👌

Days of Color

*Inhales* Now folks, there's three possibilities on this post.

1. It will reach many people and go like a breeze and I don't have any headaches.

2. It will reach many people but I get destroyed in the comments and I get in trouble.

3. This post will be a total flop, and I will be sobbing on the floor over the hundred words I put into this.

But I don't really care that much, so I'll go ahead and say my words for this event.

Days of Color (formerly Days of Rainbow) can stand for many things. Now it's pretty obvious that it's the Sky counterpart for Pride Month because of the same date they occur, and profits made by Days of Color goes to The Trevor Project (basically suicide prevention to LGBTQIA+ people).

But we all know that Sky tries to be inclusive as much as possible, they never really stick to one meaning or goal only. THEY CAN'T EVEN ESTABLISH A PROPER CONCRETE LORE (*angry theorist noises*)🤬. And that's why the Events in Sky - despite being based on real life holidays never outright stuck to it.

Days of Love can be Valentines or Friendship Day. Days of Feast can be just a winter holiday or Christmas. Days of Bloom can reference Easter or Spring Equinox. And many more that I'm too tired to write.

Now the two real life equivalents of Days of Color are Pride Month🏳️‍🌈 and Holi (Color Festival) from India🇮🇳. But it also celebrates diversity and friendship and every other meanings. In fact that's why the name was changed from "Rainbow" to "Color" so it can be more inclusive to everyone. Sky has always tried to be inclusive as possible, since one of the main points of the game is to be a welcoming community featuring diversity. Sky has tried to consider every view of different people across the globe. (Kinda taking the middle ground instead of choosing one side).

So it doesn't matter that much what view or opinions you have on Days of Color

❤️You can see it as a symbol of LGBTQIA+, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as a symbol related to religion, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as appreciating the different colors of the world, and that's valid.

❤️You can see it as a representation of phenomenons in nature, and that's valid.

❤️You can apply your own meaning and that's valid.

It's an open event for people with their interpretation. So uhhh.....*gulp* (⁠・⁠_⁠・⁠;⁠) telling people that their opinion is not applicable to Days of Color, wouldn't be so correct. And also telling them to stop putting meanings to Days of Color would go against the games values, as Sky actually encourages it. 🌈

But as we all know these human meanings are just figments of emotional imagination and rainbows are nothing but a phenomenon caused by the bending and refraction of light. 🙃 (Humans are silly delusional creatures that like putting meanings into things. ☺️)

But yeahhh... throwing a fit whenever someone has an opinion on rainbows (or Sky) is pointless. Both of you can't be right or wrong, since rainbows themselves never stood up for anything (cuz it ain't alive obviously lol), and Sky has always been an open world - with the only main messages being friendship and kindness. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

Sky Memory Candle Update

Ok here's the thing. I don't think the redesign of the Memory Candles is because of visual purposes.

It's for….. drum roll 🥁 LORE AND WORLD BUILDING! 😀

Each season they give us a snippet of lore and slightly strengthen their world building. And since this season focuses on Memory Projectors and their property and uses, then of course TGC would have wanted to give a little revamp to our Memory Projectors.

Candles and Shrines that project images technically don't make sense for the world of Sky, when N O N E of the technology of Sky uses candles outside of spirits or meditation. All technology/magic (primarily present in Vault) uses Crystals and Lanterns that is able to project images and even make a mini-matrix. It finally, FINALLY makes sense that Skykids would be using the tools our ancestors did to do the same thing.

I always wondered (in my moth days) how does the memory candles work?????

Coz in my moth brain:

❗Candle purposes: To give wax, an offering to the dead, to be connected to the dead (through meditation), and to activate other spiritual stuff that candles have in real life.

❗Paper Boat purposes: just a stupid paper that you could write stuff with.

❗And Crystal/Lantern purposes: used as a battery, used to power elevators, used to make projections/memory, create a matrix.

So my little moth brain was trying to figure out how the hek can a candle PROJECT AN IMAGE, and how can a simple candle shrine CREATE A MATRIX. MY BRAIN WAS LAGGING.

My mind is now in peace, now that everything makes sense. Skykids using magical spells to make a miniature version of the same Technology/Magic our ancestors did, makes sense and they are finally using the same things to do it.

Regarding the visual pollution going on, I don't think the redesign had a significant change to it. It will still be there as an annoying little mole, and unless TGC gives us an option to disable it on our settings menu, no amount of redesign could ever calm our frustration.

Some of the pros I see here however is that new players will immediately not mistake it for a regular candle. And it's more aesthetically pleasing rather than seeing a bunch of candles on the ground like something died in that spot.

Golden Wastelands: A Basin of Pure Regret (a theory)

I was too blind to not notice this earlier 🙈

The reason the Wastelands has a FRIK TON of pipes is because they have attempted to drain the Dark Water or whatever liquid waste they had. We see these pipes connect from the main areas (Broken Temple, Graveyard, Battlefield) all the way to Shipwreck - where the pipes come to an end and that yucky mud is spilled in the beach into the ocean.

That's probably why massive bodies of water are polluted in Wastelands. Let’s say that the dark waters are some sort of liquid waste similar to the ones that are produced by industrial factories, here in my country - some lousy factories and establishments like to connect pipes to water sources like rivers and beaches, and dump ALL THEIR STUPID WASTE. Of course NATURALLY - THAT’S NOT GOOD!! They ended up polluting the oceans and caused the wildlife to die or either mutate, I have a theory that the reason crabs that have black spots are aggressive is because they have evolved to let the darkness be a part of them and consume light in return.

Wastelands is supposed to be as grand and beautiful as Valley, with similar architecture and technology. But this time in wastelands: we get to see the consequences when humans take too much and abuse their environment for personal gain. That is why I think the transition between Valley - Wasteland is PERFECT. We slide into a slope and fly through clouds with buildings along the sides (similar to the races) but then....... glory instantly get replaced with terror as the lighting changed from courageous red to dark green (we know from Disney movies that green is evil). Even the sounds they make through the portal are similar- Valley has those 'bells' that we hear when entering the Colosseum, with cheers from the background. Wasteland has those similar 'bell' sounds, but then it turns unsettling as you hear some shyt like horror game ambiance sounds.

AND NOT TO MENTION, that wastelands is in a much lower area than Valley, and we literally get FLUSHED DOWN to Wastelands. Wasteland is a LITERAL SHADOW OF VALLEY.

Oh and also:

Valley was the first realm to introduce duality and competition, with all the races and stuff. In Wasteland we see this turn into conflict and war. And Valley is not the only area parallel to Wastelands, it also borrowed elements from Forest. We see a structure similar to Forest Temple in the early areas of wasteland, this is a mechanism that produces those Diamonds that power their gates, boats, etc, and it is made from the lights of mantas (poor babies getting pressed into darkstones). So it also features themes of animal abuse and resource overuse.

SUMMARY 📣(boy I got carried away this turned out so long)

! Wasteland is like a huge arse basin (or toilet) that catches all the bad consequences of previous realms. HECK that’s why it's name is the -WASTE- LAND. Basically a whole arse toilet to catch all the shyt.

Also a little side note with Season of Aurora spoilers: I heard that the song that is going to be played in this area has something to do with nature and pollution, and maybe a little bit of war. So I guess TGC is really selling the 'man made destructions' theme of Wasteland.

Own rating and opinion on the Sky: COTL realms (Ratings based on personal preference)

Isle: -/10 (CANNOT BE RATED) Has absolutely nothing besides a lot of wonders for a little moth. It has some good lore stuff but its literally just S A N D

Prairie: 5/10 Has a wide area with a lot of wax, has a good vibe to it, very beautiful landscape. Its a social hub for many players and feels like the widest realm. But the BRIGHTNESS…..IT . BURNS . MY . EYES.

Forest: 6/10 Good atmosphere and relaxing melancholic music, gives you a sense of being lost (which is wonderful to me). The whole place is chill and depressing, and we got forest mama. Collecting wax isn't boring due to many trees, and there are accessible shortcuts. Rain is annoying but fitting, I JUST HATE THE DOORS THAT WONT OPEN. SERIOUSLY FOREST MAMA, WHY CAN'T YOU FIX YOUR DOORS, YOU HONKING MADE THEM.

Valley: 3/10 Yeah, yeah, its epic and glorious and very into fine arts. We got the most beautiful seasons here and it has THE BEST architectures in Sky. Collecting wax is Krill-Dung, the races are supposed to be fun, but I don't find them efficient wax methods. AND I HATE THE SNOW, JUST 50 SECONDS STEPPING ON THAT REALM AND MY FACE IS BURIED IN THICK SNOW BECAUSE I SLIPPED ON ICE.

Wasteland: 1/10 Has the most interesting stories, has a spooky and chilling feel to it. Very apocalyptic and lore based, has the most unsettling music (which I love). BUT MY GOOD ELDERS- I TRY TO COME FOR WAX AND I COME BACK WITH BATTLE SCARS FROM KRILLS. THE CRABS ARE HONKING KRILL-DUNG.

Vault: 999/10 Has the most chilling and epic music that brings tears to my eyes. Has a lot of candle cakes for fast candle runs, and is very small. Very very….uhhh- SUPERB! Very good transition form Wasteland-Vault-Eden. Most chilling moments in here, its like a mini summary of your adventures across the realms. Has my favorite color palette and scholarly vibe, and has my favorite area which is Starlight dessert. I LOVE IT…..well except the 5 player doors.

Eden: -666/10 ……………I hate it

Orbit: HALLELUJAH/10 I cry tears of joy when I get here, the MUSIC AAAAAAAHHHHH. (I don't rebirth often so its very memorable to me)
