hellow! im pretty sure im late to the party but i stumbled onto high voltage yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous!!! i loved your portrayal of baekhyun there, like an absolute jerk but one with a heart of gold, and your writing got me so hooked that i made my way to red mercedes! i- im not gonna lie when i say i stayed up reading that fic and it literally took my heart, munched it to pieces and threw it away. im not sure i will ever be able to write down just how it truly felt but it almost felt like drowning; the feeling of drowning but its the emotions trying to drown me inside myself and as stupid as it sounds i couldnt get myself to sleep bcs my mind kept replaying the scenes (especially the scenes about their picture together on the mercedes, those are my favorite!) i knew it was going to hurt from the beginning but there was this hope that they were gonna get together at the end yaknow? after all they've been through but wow the ending was beautifully satisfying but hurtful in all the best ways too. words can only go so far but what im trying to say is thank you. for writing so incredibly and posting, sharing your work with the world! your work is literal art and it also rekindled my love for poems! (it died out bcs of my ongoing stack of work from college lmao) hoping you have the best day/night, all my love! ♡

And I’m glad to know that Red Mercedes still haunts some people like it haunts me 💔 there were a lot of melancholic and deeply sensual moments in that story that still tugs at my heart. Thank you for taking the time to read it 🥺 I know it must have been tough to read at some points.

so i've been a ghost reader of yours since AD to RM and now blind spot and i've always wondered since your fics are mostly relationship centered have you ever had a real life experience from your fics or are they inspired by your relationships? why do you write them realistically? i'm curious so i wanna know your answer please don't get me wrong

This has been in my inbox for a while, and I’m finally answering it omg 😭

Firstly, don’t be a ghost reader!! I really appreciate hearing feedback as long as it’s constructive. There’s also anon messages so if you feel shy about giving feedback, you can do it on anon 🥺

Secondly, yes, I have a lot of life experiences that I integrate into my fics. A lot of characters and events that I’ve written are actually based off something that I’ve experienced or observed. I’m very fortunate to live in an area with great diversity, so I’ve made friends with a lot of people who have helped me to experience all sorts of things. From social media influencers to guys who mod their cars to go street racing, I’m lucky that I’ve met a lot of people who I can always draw inspiration from.

I see fiction as a means to extend what reality could be. I used to think that “fiction” meant magical powers or high fantasy adventures, but fiction really doesn’t have to break the boundaries of reality. Fiction can simply be an answer to what could happen. 

What could happen if you fell in love with one of your teachers? What could happen if you met a guy at the top of an illegal street racing circle? What could happen if took the plunge and went after a married man? 

That’s why I love writing realistic fiction. I think it’s so much more exciting to explore the consequences of actions that could happen because chances are, they probably already have happened. Writing realistic fiction involves looking into the human psyche and exploring how people would react to what happens to them, and I really enjoy doing that.

Magical worlds and superpowers are cool to see in fiction, but I think real life and things that have a true possibility to come true are just as exciting.

out of curiosity, do you know just how long blind spot will be? maybe not w.c. wise but like chapter wise? and whether it'll have a happy end or not? (ill be honest and say i dont wanna end up like after i finished red mercedes, traumatized for quite some time before being able to read any more fics KAJSJ but it was in a good trauma kind of way! :))

Around 25+ chapters! I think it’ll be about 200,000+ words at that point lol rip.

Hi, new reader of your stories. Love the creativity and the fact that it’s bbh centered but I noticed that you keep putting the oc’s name/pet name at the end of each of his dialogue? Not sure if this was done on purpose. It just feels very overdone when I read lol and it kind of ruins the mood. I don’t think it’s necessary for him to mention oc’s name all the time bc realistically, no one does that unless they’re mocking someone? Other than that, keep it up! your writing is great.

To answer this Q:

Angel isn’t her name, though, it’s Baekhyun’s nickname for her. It’s almost the equivalent of calling your significant other “babe” or some other pet name. I’m not sure what you mean “no one does that unless they’re mocking someone” because I don’t think I’ve ever experienced or seen someone being mocked when their name is used at the beginning or ending of a dialogue. If anything, using a name/nickname highlights the importance of what the speaker is saying. By using the name or nickname of someone, the speaker calls for attention in what they say—almost as if to indirectly state “my words are especially meant for you.”

It’s quite a literary explanation and I could go on about importance of names, but I don’t think it’s overdone at all? Ange calls Baekhyun by his name several times as well, probably more than he calls her Angel, but okay...?

In your red mercedes introduction u stated that the fic will be angst and some fluff and there ended up being a quite sad ending, for blind spot you have also written that there is angst and fluff so am I right to assume that I will cry at this fic again lol? 🥺

If I write Blind Spot correctly, then yeah, I hope you’ll cry? 🤪🤭
