“Well, well, well.” Grimmjow trundles over the piles of debris and shattered concrete to stop near the feet of the battered quincy. “If it isn’t ‘Letter ‘piece of shit nobody’’.”
He recognizes the bright mohawk of reddish hair, despite the briefness of their encounter. Though Grimmjow was much more interested in hunting down Askin Nakk Le Varr at the time, the poison hasn’t scrambled his brain so badly that he can’t remember such a noticeable feature.
He honestly hadn’t expected to find any quincies still alive. The Shinigami had been executing them with incredible prejudice, seems odd for them to have missed this one. He absently considered putting the sorry shit out of his misery.
“Which shinigami cut you down in the end, huh?” One foot roughly nudges at the sole of Bazz-B’s boot.

@skyvar Grimm: 👀 so cuddling huh contd.
Finally, she’d managed to fight out some place next to him, layered kosode slightly let loose for comfort, a leg rested upon his, as he did not care to move an inch. She shifts to face him, eyes roll at his teasing. “I didn’t take you for the cuddling type.” She sure as hell wasn’t. Fingers make their way up from his chest to his chin, a thumb tracing the line of his lips. “I promised you a bite though. I like to keep my word sometimes, just to confuse people.” One bite of her flesh wouldn’t cause much harm, she’d heal by the time she woke up.
compare anime & manga mu🔪🔪🔪
The one that gets me every time, besides Pierrot adding tons of “extra” stuff is also how the animation twists original impact the chapters had, for example the whole Rukia suspense was lost, bc not only did they voice her which is a big spoiler, but also showed her face right away. That is a mood killer. We can talk about poor narrative takes with more extra time to some fullbringers such as Ginjo saving Ichigo and Yuzu or the whole ordeal with Jackie, where they just did contradict themselves, but nooo, we're gonna go straight to the point that kills me a lot.
We’re talking about Ichi’s lowest breaking moment and how it was handled differently in anime and manga by both parties. I was both time unsatisfyingly short tbh, but alas.
In manga everything goes kinda of rushed, Ginjo just extracts Ichigo’s power and leaves and narrative wise it feels mirroring Ginjo’s own situation, even though we don’t know that context at said point. I told it before, all of this was orchestrated in this way not only of mere practical reasons, but because of harsh lesson Ichigo learns that way. Ginjo literally puts him in the same pit of despair he most likely was himself after losing the original fullbringer group. He wants Ichigo to suffer that kind of pain, pain of wrong choice and its consequences, pain of powerlessness. And what makes it worse, he just leaves, making no long excuses or whatever, he gives Ichigo no time to recuperate or gather any moral strength.
What do we get in anime?

‘What are you hoping to achieve here exactly, Bazz-B? Starting a commotion has always proven to get one so far in the past, hasn’t it.’ You’d think in a 1000 years Bazz would have had time to learn his lessons, but it seemed aged had instead ripped him of any bits common sense he may have had. Jugram sighed in frustration, he could usually be indifferent to these antics; over the years, he’d taught himself not to give Bazz's taunts too much importance, but tonight his patience was wearing thin. It was enough that of a blow His Majesty had to appoint this child, brought out nowhere, as His successor, another yet pointless altercations with Bazz-B might as well be the straw that broke the camel. And every bit of forbearance he had left in him
Bazz-B was probably very much enjoying this, though, like the petty and vindictive child he was. To watch Jugram be publicly humiliated, in front of everyone under his command, and be discarded in such brutal fashion. Oh the Schadenfreude that must be. So why not rub some salt into the wound? ‘Had His Majesty wished for your input on the subject, I reckon you would have known by now.’ He said sarcastically.
Pls tell me something out of his childhood
sosuke is the name his zanpakuto spirit called him by when they began to communicate; possibly his actual name from his past life. aizen is the name of one of the many gods worshipped in rukongai, that he actively chose for himself. considering the importance given to names in bleach, i think that choosing his name was one of the many turning points during the process of construction of aizen’s self-awareness.
i already mentioned this here and there, but because of the magnitude of his spiritual power and due to the dire conditions aizen lived under in his youth, he was constantly tormented by a haunting feeling of hunger. this pushed him to sometimes consume other souls. he would not actively kill anybody, feeling effectively too weak for it, but even without trying any time he got close to anyone his reiatsu would crush them almost instantly ... leaving aizen to feed on the leftovers. goes without saying, this gave him lasting trauma, but it was another crucial point in the building of his character.
i’m sure aizen’s morality was already pretty skewed by the time he got to join the academy. there was never a ‘good’ aizen. his experience of the world before entering seireitei is that of an isolated child, with too much power and only the eerie presence of some ghost-like spirit to raise him, thrown in a dog-eat-dog environment. aizen’s first experience of the world was one of cruelty and hunger, and solitude. he was never good.
his first killings were accidental. as soon as he started grasping the extent of his power, he began taking advantage of it to defend himself and even kill quite liberally.
the choice of his birthday date was also absolutely arbitrary.
even as a kid, and even living in a place as fucked up as outer rukongai, aizen was never afraid. the first time he encountered a hollow, he felt relief.
