This is my first (pilot) issue of this series I want to explore!

What is The Sleeping Debt about?

Our two guys, Benny and Weston, had stayed up far too long and now banished to serve as props to other people's dreams as punishment for their poor sleep.

These two now must serve their time in the dream realm to pay off the sleep debt they've accrued through their lack of sleep in order to escape.

This specific comic has Benny and Weston in a classroom dream, unaware that there is someone also in debt like them controlling this dream with malicious intent to haunt this story's dreamer.

I read sleep debt by Andrew Givler and it really worked on me.

Sometimes your body tells you to sleep and you actually gotta do it, I took the day off Tuesday because I just wasn’t getting up I fell asleep three times in my effort to get up for work (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) and decided I needed to actually sleep so I used an emergency sick day and after going through the process, I went back to sleep and did not wake up until the time I would’ve been getting off work. (4:00 am) After that I ate a bag of chips and fed the creatures then I fell asleep again until eight (8:00 am)

I ended up using another emergency sick day to attend my sister’s graduation and sleep even more.

I’m still tired but I didn’t really sleep today, guess two days is the most I can manage? Anyways I’ve still just been adjusting to my medication, it’s weird being back on it again but I don’t feel as disconnected as I did before! I was dealing with some major headaches and well exhaustion but I’m not sure if that’s the meds or just me. I think the headaches were a side effect, maybe not sure. But I’m still here.

Sorry I’ve not been super social, I’ve just been weird. Been really tired and my usual amount of busy and tired. I also lended my car charger to my brother for these past days so my phone’s been dead more than usual too. Otherwise I’ve been here and I’ll continue to be here.

[So today I learned about sleep debt in my online class for physiologically and. .the idea of sleep/dream mafia appeared in my head]

[I like to think they put people to sleep with just. .violence, it doesn't hurt the person but it does knock them the fuck out/put them to sleep, they only really appear when you have too much sleep debt-]

ok listen up everyone!!

i just thought i would make this post to let you all know that self care is soooooo important during school. i was tired today during school and came home and took a 1 hour nap despite the amount of homework and the studying i have to do. i feel so much better. if you are tired, do take a nap because you will feel so much better and it’ll be beneficial in the long run!

that 10 point homework assignment you couldn’t get to because you were sleeping won’t matter in 3 years down the road. but if you don’t take the opportunity to sleep now, you will be even more tired in the long run, increasing your sleep debt ever so slowly. and once you get behind in sleep, it’ll be really hard to get back up to speed. so do sleep or take a nap when you feel like it and everything will be much better.
