He may be willing to downplay his injuries, but his expression and bloodied and bruised body contradicted his words. She wasn’t about to let this slide, actually ready and willing to sick Jeremy after the brutes who hurt both their friend. Normally she’d be against retaliating like this, but Iri was kind and gentle. He’s never shown a reason to be given such cruel beating. To see him in such a condition made her see red.
“No Iri, don’t you dare try to play this off.” she lectures while turning to fetch her first aid kit. It was a rare moment for her to lash out so harshly at a good friend, but even she had her limits. She was scared and angry to see him so hurt, and was perhaps taking it out on him without meaning to.
Upon return, she opens the kit box and starts pulling everything out, looking somewhat harried.
“Please, tell me who did this…” she said, voice more gentle this time.
Iri was taken back, somewhat; Surprised to hear Isa use such a tone at him. He wasn’t used to hearing her raise her voice, nor seeing her so upset. He admittedly couldn’t help but feel guilty for making her worry too...
“Isa, I really am okay. Just a bit banged up is all. You know ghosts heal pretty fast.” he says softly, trying to convince her he really was okay. Or was he just trying to convince himself?
Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to come over. Honestly, the only reason why Iri came to his friends home was because it was closer than the docks. But really, the docks wasn’t all that far...He should have just handled the pain and went straight towards home, instead of coming over and causing Isa to fuss over him...
“Besides, I don’t really know who did it. I just know that they must have been hunters, since their weapons worked against me...” Iri sighs, feeling very tired. He was both mentally and physically exhausted, and all he wanted to do was cleanhimself off and maybe sleep for a while...or maybe a couple days.
