they had been seeing one another for the past couple of months and to be frank, matthias was surprised. it wasn’t a personal relationship, heaven and hell forbid those lasted more than a couple of weeks, but a professional one. at times the psychologist was torn, all three sides of him pushing him to different extremes. the small amount of compassion that his human side had made him want to actually help the other male, although he falsely amplified it during the therapy sessions. his siren side wanted to see where things could go outside of the office, not necessarily a relationship but a little fun. then his incubus side just wanted to fuck, he wanted to see the other begging for him on his knees and bending over his desk while they risked someone walking in.
somehow dr. warrick managed to focus on the task at hand, all of the sides probably canceling each other out and making him seem mellow. as he crossed his right leg over his left he grabbed the notepad that was on the table beside him. “please avery, take a seat.” the creature wrote down his patient’s name and the date at the top of the page. he had reviewed the notes of their previous sessions where the male said some questionable and worrisome things, but by the end of it matthias was sure he wasn’t going to harm himself. although if it ever did get to that point he would have killed avery himself. not only for his energy, but so that he wouldn’t be dammed to an eternity of flames because he took his own life.
“now normally i’d ask how you spent the week and how you’re feeling, but since you seemed like you were going to lock yourself up for a whole week i’ll leave that towards the end that way we have time for the more important things.” while it wasn’t professional, he did use his sharp tongue to get his clients talking sometimes, or at least to get them to feel something. “have you taken more responsibility among that group that you’re always telling me, with kai and the others?” a higher level of responsibility was sometimes correlated with a higher level of self worth, but at this point he didn’t know what would help ave. // @sliivered
