So, how do you think the Boonchuys react to Anne being Hop Pop's granddaughter? Like, idk about you but sometimes parents and grandparents argue over parenting styles. 👀👀
I DEFINITELY think there's gonna be some issues. The Boonchuys and Plantars both value hard work, but in very different ways- the Boonchuy fam (or Anne's mom, anyway) is very school-driven, but Hop Pop didn't worry about her education because, well, that's just Amphibia. He taught her basic Amphibia life skills- how to run a stand, how to do taxes, how to ride a snail, etc. Anne's parents strike me as the type to forbid jobs and such so Anne can focus on school and I feel like Hop Pop Would Not Agree with that and Anne would be torn between following her parents and/or the guardian she's been deferring to for the last like five months.
And there's also the emotional aspect, of course. They're so grateful to the Plantars for giving Anne a home and going so far to help her come home, but Anne's changed so much in the months she's been gone. She's got two siblings she looks out for now (who, on the flip side, kind of cling to her like glue. I'm sure that will take time for them to adjust to as well). She's a lot more responsible now. She doesn't let people push her around. She's always been protective, but now she's learned to channel that into a sword. A part of them probably feel bitter towards the Plantars for being there during her changes, or maybe fear they goaded her into them for survival.
TLDR: NOT GONNA BE SEAMLESS FAMILY MESHING TIMES
