The lyrics of this song were based around telling stories of three separate women the lead singer had at one time been romantically involved in. One for every verse in the song. The stories are told in third person and specifically center around their personalities, traits and flaws. The song is meant to be objective. Understanding and accepting that no one is perfect, everyone has their demons and life is too short to let pain of loves lost get in the way of living your life to the fullest.
