This little beetle was coming and going, flying away and then returning to one of the drainage holes in the compost turner.  When I took a closer look, I saw that its face was completely covered in mites. 

It didn’t seem particularly distressed, and over the years I have seen several other insects going about their business with small passengers, some of them more cheerfully than others.
