For as long as I can remember I have always believed (and seen) hauntings. They have never been scary or intimidating to me as much as they have been illuminating and full of a form of grace. Which is to say, not all hauntings come to one in darkness. Sometimes they arrive in the unflinching bright of the day. Which is to say, not all hauntings are nightmares-- some come to find you in a daydream. When the mention of a girl haunting the story like a ghost, I viewed her as more of a guider than a haunter because some ghosts are better at showing than scaring. My question is this: is there a ghost that guides you/haunts you towards your art, or is she more muse than ghost? When you are creating do you feel like there is someone standing right behind you, waiting? Do you feel like your creation is only complete once you no longer feel someone behind you, rather you see her, finally, staring right at you from the page? #BookClub #smallbacksofchildren #readingisfun #ilovereading
