Page 12. --- Edward Doole, a young non-resident, pleaded guilty in Police Court today, to a charge of being intoxicated but denied a second charge, that of smashing a window in the shop of the Kingston Electric Battery Service, comer of Queen and Wellington street. Doole was taken into custody by Constables Brown and Brennan. A pane of glass about three feet by two feet was broken. Three witnesses were called, who stated they heard the crashing of glass but they could not Identify Doole as the person who had put his fist through the window.
The charge of breaking the window was dismissed but on a charge of being intoxicated Doole wee fined $10 and costs with the option of one month in jail.
