Jason sighed. “Well,” he said, leaning back in his shitty booth seat, feeling the faux leather creak beneath him. “I always did like Old Gotham. S’gotta kinda charm to it, ya know?”
Tim beamed, and Jason’s heart skipped a beat. “This is going to be great!” Tim cheered, pumping a fist in the air, heedless of the way a couple other patrons glanced their way. It was Gotham, though, so they turned back to their own tables quickly enough. “I already have a ton of ideas for places we can visit. I was thinking that, in order to build up viewership, we’d start with some of the more popular places, you know? The ones everyone knows about, even if they don’t live here. Then maybe we do a couple of local gems.”
Jason hummed, feeling stirrings of fondness despite himself. “What’cha got picked out?”
i decided to go with this! i started writing this after binging all of Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural.
basically: most of the Batfam are touched by the supernatural in some way---being mediums, psychics, etc.. Jason narrowly survived an encounter with the Joker (or maybe he didn't, but did manage to come back, as in canon. i haven't decided yet), & Tim hasn't joined the family. Tim IS, however, a hardcore believer, & wants to start a show exploring the huanted areas of Gotham. (& unfortunately for Jason, Tim also seems to be a supernatural magnet)
it's basically. Jason & his family are real-life mediums / psychics / in touch with the supernatural, and Tim is a hardcore believer. (&, unfortunately for Jason, a supernatural magnet)
