Dance Macabre (Open Event Starter - Metaphysical Existence Club: Haunted House)
A cold chill will hit your face as you enter the darkly lit basement. All walls are covered in blood red drapes and as you come further down into the darkness, old fashioned candle lights will be your only source of light. They will give a warm glow to your journey, but still threaten to blow out in the cold chill as you continue your journey.
Then eerie music will keep you company in the darkness, and as you keep walking through the seemingly endless corridors, the drapes now and again blow to the side, a weak reflection from mirrors will gleam at you, for a moment something might appear to move in the corner of your eyes, or past you in the mirrors you are able to catch a glimpse of.
Maybe hurrying now, or still calm, you countinue towards a brighter light in the distance, and as you come closer the music also turns louder, the piano playing a slow rendition of dance macabre, with a violin playing from everywhere around.
As you enter the room you will find it beautifully decorated, almost like a victorian mansion, with a piano at the far side, where the musician were playing with their head lowered, seemingly completely focused on their music.
Then, in middle of the dimly lit room, a gust hits you, as a ghostly red form takes flight, seemingly dancing along to the tune, flying in the air like a ghost dancing at Death’s command.
Faster and faster, until it reaches climax, and beware of growing too caught up in the magical dance. When the musician notices you, and your eyes makes contact with his blank stare, you might get caught in the darkness.
Allen was actually having a lot of fun with his haunted house part. Besides from having a lot of problems doing the decorations, since he had set up both mirrors, and some projectors in the hallways, so it would at times project shadows walking by in the dimly lit hallways. He had gotten all the fans around school that wasn’t in use, and set them up around to create the wind, and what he was most proud of, the fans perfectly placed to make the red blanket dance before his piano.
The piano was from the music room, and he was happy he could borrow it. His only job now, was just to play the piano when people came down the hallway, and then as they entered the room put on the fans he had remote control to, then as he came to the end of the song, look up to make eye contact, before using the switch to make the fans turn towards the person entering, blowing all lights out and sending a ghostly yet innocent blanket their way, before opening the door to the exit and disappearing.
Thinking for himself that this was a lot of fun, he keeps playing, as someone comes walking into the room.
