When making this reading list, I realized there are not nearly as many YA fiction books featuring autistic protagonists as there should be. Which is unfortunately the case in a lot of minority representation situations. Anyway, please take a look at some we *do* have available at the Smith Public Library, and remember to always speak out about wanting to see more neurodivergent characters in your books!
Note: the protagonists featured in the books on slides 4 and 5 are not explicitly stated on the page as being autistic, but have been confirmed to be so by the authors.

Fun geared toward third- through eighth-graders, but all are welcome.
Witches, wizards, muggles and squibs are all invited to celebrate the birthday of the Boy Who Lived! Games, trivia and crafts. Come in your finest robes or dressed as your favorite character for the costume contest scheduled at 3 pm.

We took a sneaky lil peek at the new books that are processing and oooooh boy do we have some good stuff coming your way. More copies of #divinerivals plus its brand new sequel, the new YA @alihazelwood book, volume five of #heartstopper (and the novella This Winter!), @stephanie_garber’s A Curse for True Love, and soooo many more! Personally, we’re absolutely losing it over the cover art for The Scarlet Alchemist. How can you not?!
