S'mores ice cream is a creamy frozen dessert that combines the classic tastes of a campfire treat. Every spoonful has lots of chocolate, marshmallows that are melty, and graham crackers that are crunchy.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. Pinch of salt. 4 large egg yolks. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup mini marshmallows. 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers. 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
Instructions: Heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt should all be mixed together in a saucepan. Mix well and heat on medium until the sugar is gone and the mixture is hot but not boiling. Whisk egg yolks in a different bowl. Slowly pour some of the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks while whisking them all the time. This will temper the eggs. Put the egg mixture back into the pan with the rest of the cream mixture. Keep stirring the mixture over low heat until it gets thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Now take it off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Cover and put in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Let it cool to room temperature first. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for how to use an ice cream maker to churn the cooled mixture. When the machine is almost done churning, add chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. Once the ice cream is smooth, put it in a container that can go in the freezer, cover it, and freeze it for at least 4 hours or overnight.
