My Whiteout design!

I'd always imagined her as having patches of dark and light scales instead of the mostly dark version in the graphic novel. Personally, I'd thought her colour scheme looked more or less like a normal NightWing, apart from the inverted colours on her wings, and her white spines.

I wanted her appearance to look more unusual and eye catching, something that really embodied "strange but beautiful".

I'm happy enough with her pose and expression overall, but I feel like the way I've drawn her markings make the design slightly too busy. It was hard to find a good balance and draw them in a way that looked natural but not overly random.

HOWEVER, one major feature I sorely wish I'd stuck to canon was to remove her IceWing tail spikes. I'd been on the WoF wiki earlier, and according to Darkstalker (p.38, Talons of Power), Sunny's eyes are the same shape as Whiteout's.

—But if Whiteout lacked the tail spikes this would be an additional parallel to Sunny's lack of a tail barb. I like to think this similarity to his sister would've deepened Sunny's endearment to Darkstalker, and it would've been a sad but fitting detail. Sigh 😔

Anyway quick note to say I'm opening requests drawing for canon WoF characters (see pinned intro post for more detail)!

I saw on the our life wiki that Qiu isn't the biggest fan of dad jokes... so here's a little scene involving my oc Lynn :)

HAPPY MOGTOBER! I loved Silverborn, and I knew I had to try and redraw this scene. I mean, even ignoring this, just look at some of the quality quotes in the chapter:

"She caught her reflection in the enormous window and was satisfied that she finally looked as she ought to: not a swan, but a Crow."

Since I've had this idea for a while now, thought I'd make some TMA art again in honour of jonmartinweek! I don't think this strictly qualifies, but the current prompt is actually AUs so hey cool coincidence

Run cycles for Qiu, Tamarack and my OC Lynn!

I'd made pixel sprites of them for another animation, but I thought it'd be fun to try and capture their personalities in some run cycles first

I intended for Qiu's run to be like a jog, Tamarack's a skip and Lynn's a sprint (technically Lynn also wears glasses, but I thought they obscured too much of her face)

This is fanart for that concept as well as Morridence!

The idea is actually thanks to this post for making me aware of the ship name "crowburn". I thought it sounded metal as hell — and well, one thought led to the next :>
