Snake Trail - May 2020 You have to look at this image for a moment or two to realize why I find it interesting. It is just a picture of the sand with all the bumps and ridges from people walking by and debris from various nearby trees. But if you look closer, you will see a wiggly line across the sand. That wiggle started at the edge of the sand and continued all the way across the sand bar to the trees on the other side. I wish I could have caught an image of the small snake who made this wiggle, but the wiggly line itself is also a neat image. MWM

Today I had planned a slightly longer photo round, but the heat put a stop to it. I decided to visit the snake trail at Hammer lake and the Karpalund ponds. At the snake trail, I saw a grass snake that disappeared quickly, but managed to shoot a large white.

Then I drove to Karpalund ponds, which were completely overgrown. An Admiral butterfly wanted to show up, it only sat 1-2 feet away from me.…

Hammarsjön – Hammer lake

This morning I went to the snake trail located at Hammarsjön. I was hoping to find some snooker, but they didn’t want to show up. However, I got a couple of photos of a small cabbage white, one of the few butterflies I managed to photograph this year! I also took a photo of Kvinneholme with reed in the foreground.
