DREAM DADDY TRASHPOST
If you are not into that kind of trashy content I am really sorry, please just skip this entry. Also this is spoilerfree!
BUT. During Hugo’s second date there is a sequence in which Hugo and the protagonist discuss jelly bracelets, also called “snap-bracelets” or “sex-bracelets”. It refers to a myth or trend in which middle schoolers wear color-coded plastic bracelets in order to nonverbally communicate their sexual or love life. (Also, there is a game called “snap-game” in which people try to snap the hard-to-break bracelets off each other. If it works, the person “has to” commit the act that is represented by the color of the bracelet. Or something like that. I am not young anymore and last heard of it when I was sixteen. Also, I think it is crazily unhealthy and stupid. ANYWAY)
Carmensita (as you can see in the picture) is wearing exactly those kind of wobbly cheap plastic bracelets. In green, orange and blue.
But what sexual or romantic acts do the colours represent?
GREEN: Willingness to perform oral sex on a girl (according to this source) (Also according to this source)
ORANGE: Willingness to kiss (according to this source and also this source)
BLUE: Willingness to perform oral sex on a boy (according to this source and this source)
So yeah, there you have it, Carmensita is probably sexually open and bisexual?
Please do not take this too seriously, friends.
*Ah, also, on the right hand she wears a yellow one that looks kind of shimmery, so it could also represent a gold or glittery yellow (which would either represent “make out” (source) or “hug” (source) or “whatever the boy wants” or “whatever the girls wants” (source) “handjob” (source)
