also i am working on more posts! however i would like to develop a bit of a queue and also the next post requires a new build which sucks for me. and i'm doing extra shifts at work so i can buy a nintendo switch and american girl dolls with my adult money lmao.

If your OC were ever to fill out a Dating Site (or pamphlet or newspaper) profile, then what would they include?

Tobias: Immediately, he's definitely one of those guys that appears to not understand that he can also swipe left on women, so he just makes his profile a list of requirements. No fatties, no single mothers, and no career women, baby! All the images look like they were taken on a potato, and the background looks at least a little gross. The pictures also include a very underwhelming shirtless photo, but as Tobias is short and chopped, he's definitely got a group picture with the guys from church as his main one. And even tho he's canonically 5'8, the profile says at least 5'10. I think his platform of choice would be Tinder.

Beth: It's kind of hard for me to ever imagine Beth using a dating app because she's got the personality of a paper towel and probably would be an entirely different person if she hadn't married Fabian and then moved. But if she had the personality and interests/concerns she has right now and was single, I think it would be a lot of pictures of her with Cocoa the cow and the chickens and she'd be talking about "please no 2020 vaccine" and "let's go drink raw milk together ❤️". She'd use a specific Christian dating app and I think she'd end up talking to men she has no interest in for ages because she doesn't want to be rude by ending the conversation. TBH she could probably end up married from that situation.

Joanna: I'm going to answer this like Joanna is dating women because I think otherwise she'd have the most generic prompts known to man and then not reply to any of the men who respond. There would be at least one guy having a conversation with himself in her DMs. If she's on an app while being married to Antonio, she'd probably be looking for hookups, purely because I think girlfriend is too smart to try get in a long term relationship with someone who doesn't know she's cheating and also a massive homophobe, yk? At least with Fiona they're in a similar boat, both being homophobic and married. Also definitely one of those profiles where it's like absolutely bare minimum information. Nothing in this hypothetical scenario is very smart but she'd be pretty smart about it.

And if this was an alternate reality where she's not closeted, it'd probably be pretty normal for lesbian Hinge. I can't really say more than that because she'd probably have more/cooler interests for her profile, and you're the lesbian Hinge expert in our friendship. From what you've shown me it looks like a lot of nice women though, so I'm sure she'd have a great time!

🏠 - for brenna and derrick

chaotic cozy, for sure -- this gen is our little peek into old-school mommy/fundie bloggers before they were curating hardcore, so imagine like a little more clutter in the background of each photo you ever see of 'the ranch'.

at the current story point we're at, the superstar helpdaughter is gone & brenna's trying to hold the house down with just brittani and bailey-jane. beyond that, brenna is easy-going (by fundie mom standards lol), so it's more important to her that everyone in the house is content and happy than it being 100% shiny and running on schedules, jurisdiction charts, etc. -- the kids have jobs, but more often than not (especially for the boys) brenna's convictions as a mother and wife drive her to pick up everyone's slack

🌹, 🧸, & 💔 - for brittani

quality time, quality time, quality time! she is the semi-ignored child (i always associate the kids as beth-darrius-denzel, brittani, darren-demarcus-bailey-jane (played with them a lot before they aged up, and even now they autonomously talk a lot), then the babies) and is a super introvert. things like letters, emails, notes, etc. or the chance to have longggg conversations about theology, computers, etc. with someone are BADLY wanted!

young!brittani would definitely be so happy that her parents didn't cut her off from the computers when she grew up & even gave her the *~special jurisdiction~* of maintaining them.

and hm...[cw: body image] i think, deep down, she wishes brenna would apologize for some of the offhand comments she made about britt's weight/build when she was younger and as she became a teen. but another part of her feels like she knows her mom doesn't know any better & brittani has just never...deeply cared? about being 'bigger' than her sisters and mom, so there isn't a point to getting into it.
