My all-time favourite Kitt records: The Romantic Eartha (1962) and Love for Sale (1965). And the 2013 biography America’s Mistress: The Life and Times of Eartha Kitt by John L Williams is essential reading. Pictured: Kitt portraying the title role in a 1955 television adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play Salome. (I’ve checked – it’s not preserved on YouTube!).
