“discord was robbed” “discord deserved the win” discord forgot that snatch game is an impersonation challenge
(was she hilarious? absolutely. the funniest in the room. but IMHO, production didn’t keep her from the win for reasons of mere riggery - they did it to send a message. all the humor in the world won’t win you snatch game if you aren’t putting the “person” in “impersonation”)
All I could think about this weekend, so now you have to think about it too.
anyone see dat??? mykini ????
alaska thunderfuck as mae west. truly the snatch game to end all snatch games.
RAJA & RAVEN -- RuPaul's Drag Race AS10
Pause for a moment of diva worship! The most durable and feline of mid-twentieth century sex kittens, triple threat (actress, singer, dancer), sultry bedroom-voiced chanteuse, the definitive Catwoman, cherished gay icon and the woman described by Kenneth Tynan as “the vocal soul of every Siamese cat who ever lived” – the perennially fierce Miss Eartha Kitt (17 January 1927 – 25 December 2008) was born on this day! Isn’t it great the slinky Kitt remains such an essential pop culture reference point? No Drag Race “Snatch Game” is complete without one of the queens impersonating Eartha Kitt! My all-time favourite Kitt records: The Romantic Eartha (1962) and Love for Sale (1965). And the 2013 biography America’s Mistress: The Life and Times of Eartha Kitt by John L Williams is essential reading. Pictured: Kitt portraying the title role in a 1955 television adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play Salome. (I’ve checked – it’s not preserved on YouTube!).
