his chapter picks up with the group returning from the Dark Continent and having just entered the Reim Empire. Ja’far asks if they should go ahead and head back to Balbadd and Sinbad agrees and says that this is farewell to the Dark Continent. Ja’far mentions that although they weren’t able to find any land, but he’s glad they went. Sinbad takes a long pause and then agrees, seemingly depressed that they were not able to attain any land on their journey. Just then, a dark figure emerges and tells Sinbad that they took a long time on their journey. Sinbad is surprised to see Celandine standing there along with her attendants, Drakon, Hinahoho, Mistoras. Sinbad is shocked that they are still there and says that they should have returned to Balbadd. Drakon says that waiting for them really isn’t a big deal and Celandine adds that taking a ship back would have only cost them more and so this way they are saving money. She then pauses and states that they also have a few “circumstances” they are dealing with. Celandine is asked what she means by “circumstances”, but before she can respond, she is cut off by someone who asks if these were the guys that she had talked about.
This person then faces Sinbad and begins to size him up, saying that he seems to attract attention. He then says that he actually doesn’t hate that type of person and proceeds to introduce himself as Judal! Sinbad gets annoyed and asks who this kid is, while calling him rude and pulling his cheek. Celandine then yells out to Sinbad, saying that he can’t do that. Suddenly, Sinbad gets shocked and releases Judal. Ja’far recognizes this as a defensive magic barrier and explains that it’s a protective wall that is meant to reflect malicious attacks. He then says that only magic users should be able to use it. Judal states that it’s only natural that he would be able to use it and asks if they know exactly who he is. He then introduces himself as magician of creation and the strongest user of Rukh, a Magi! Ja’far then recalls that is Arthemyia they heard that the Magi are legendary magicians that will appear during a “turning point” of history. Sinbad doesn’t seem convinced and asks if this small child is really a Magi. Judal then grows impatient and says that because they don’t seem to understand, he will prove himself by demonstrates something that only a “real Magi” can do. Judal then reaches for Celandine’s metal vessel. While Celandine tries to stop him from causing a scene, Judal tells her to shut up and proceeds to touch and activate her metal vessel. Suddenly, Zephar is called forth out in public and as the citizens begin to panic and run away, Zephar asks why he had been summoned. Judal calls out to him and Zephar politely acknowledges him. Ja’far is shocked that Zephar would treat this child in such a respectful way. Zephar then quickly assess the situations and realizes that Sinbad’s group must not know about Magi. He then explains that Magi are great magicians, who are loved by the Rukh. He says that it’s no wonder they are confused, as they are dungeon conquerors who are not yet led by Magi. But he again says that Judal is, in fact, the real thing, a magi! Judal seems very pleased with this acknowledgment and while he asks Sinbad’s group if they understand, Zephar senses his Rukh and begins to worry. But before he can ask him about it, Judal says that he’s said enough and sends him back to his vessel.
He then turns to Sinbad’s group and once again states that he is a “genuine Magi”. Ja’far asks what a magi such as him is doing there and Judal responds that, naturally, he has come to meet his “king”. He tells them to not get the wrong idea and announces that he has chosen Celandine as his king. He then explains that it’s because Celandine conquered the dungeon (Zephar) that he brought forth. He says that Magi create dungeons and then personally choose their king and therefore because she conquered his dungeon, that makes Celandine his “king”. But Celandine objects, saying that she has not agreed to that. Annoyed, Judal asks why she’s still complaining and then says that they should hurry up and take back the Parthevian Empire and that he will make her the queen. Ja’far is shocked to hear this and asks if he knows what he’s actually saying. Judal then stares blankly back and answers that he plans to do exactly what he says. Ja’far begins to explain that the Parthevia Empire has signed a cease-fire treaty, but before he can continue, he is cut off by Judal (calling him “freckles” haha!). He says that THEY are the ones that don’t understand and again reminds them that he is a Magi. He explains that Magi can sense disaster in the world. He says that it “appears” that the Parthevian Empire is currently in an Armistice, but in reality, they have been continuing to invade small neighboring countries and have trampled the village people there. He then says that while he is not too sure, it seems that anyone who opposed them are either brainwashed or turned into horrible monsters. Judal then states that Cerendine the princess of Parthevia and shouldn't just stay idle, but Cerendine again tells him that without Sinbad, she’s not going anywhere. Judal says that he will ask him directly and directs his attention to the boss of the group, Sinbad. He says that, as a Magi, he is willing to help them take back the Parthevia Empire and ask what both Cerendine and Sinbad will do.
And that is all for this week! I know that we have all anxiously been awaiting Judal’s return in Magi, but I was not expecting to see him in SnB before seeing him in Magi! Haha He is super cute, but I don’t trust his proposal at all. I believe that he is involved in that traumatic event that haunts Sinbad, so I guess it’s coming very soon… ;__;
This “sexy illustration” is of the beautiful Rurumru! I hope you enjoy! ^^b
