Movie Premiere: Catching Fire
So, I went and saw the new Hunger Games this weekend. We have many theaters here in San Diego for some reason. You would think the fact that it never gets below 65 here would keep people happy, but NOPE! The moment it hits 68 it's indoors and winter coats for everyone! Consequently, I was convinced to see the new Catching Fire movie this last Friday night. It was actually good in my opinion. I was not a huge fan of the first one, and I have not read the books. The first one seemed to be just an under-performance across the board in acting, but for the second one everyone seemed to be on their game. I was engrossed, moved, and honestly, I liked it a lot. I was made better by the fact that the people in my group went and scrounged old popcorn buckets out of the trash, and got free refills, they snuck an entire loaf of warm garlic bread in, and enough room still to get drinks. It was funny to see poor college students come up with ideas on how to get food in. Overall the experience was a ton of fun, and I look forward to seeing Thor hopefully later this week!
"Keep it real!" (I hear that that is something that the kids say nowadays, not sure if I like it, but here's hoping! And as always, if you have any questions feel free to ask them on the link in the side bar!)
