It's been a long day and I am finally closing up the shop. The last preparations before actually locking the door and leaving are just minor tasks, closing the cashier system and activating all the window shutters. There is a certain calm that happens as the shutters close off the outside, a moment to just take a few deep breaths before heading home.

While I lock the last door I hear a very familiar voice- "There you are. I was worried that you had left already."

My head turns toward the direction of the voice. Vega is taking hurried steps towards me, it was a happy sight after the tiring day. A shy smile appears as there is a warmth spreading in my chest from seeing him.

"Vega..." his name escaped me with a soft tone.

He scoops me up into his arms, holding me tightly as his face buries into my neck and hair. The embrace was warm and calming, making every little bad thing of the day wash away.

"Is everything okay?" I gently ask as his embrace tightens.

"Mm I just had to see you." He whispers calmly into my hair.

The words made a soft flush of red spread over my cheeks, I have had the same aching feeling all day and it felt so good to see him.

I'm on my tip toes, so perfectly held by him, as he places light kisses from my neck up to my lips. He hadn't checked that Dani wasn't with me, and in this moment it felt as if that didn't matter. Soft presses of his lips on mine, each one sending waves of warmth through me.

I gently grace my thumb over his cheek- "I have missed you." Words leaving between kisses.

"I have missed you too." He rests his forehead against mine- "So I'm very glad I managed to get here before you left."

"Me too."

There is a pause, the words linger.

"May I walk you to your car?" His arms around me loosen gently.

"I'd like that."- I place one last quick press against his lips before I move so that we can walk towards where I had parked the car.

We walk slowly, the small distance to the parking lot, enjoying each others company as the city calms for the day. He is walking close enough that I can feel hints of the mix of his perfume and shampoo that comes off him, a scent that I could never get enough of. His voice as he talks about his work day is as calm as it usually is, it's making the sounds of the city quieter in my ears.

All I can focus on is Vega, how lucky I feel in moments with him.

We pause at the car, both knowing we don't want to say goodbye.

"Aurora?" He pulls me closer by the waist.

"Yes?"

"How about, dinner tomorrow? Me and Amana could pick you up after work."

"I would love that." I answer with a excited tone.

His hand grace across my cheek as he guides me to lean into a kiss again, his lips formed into a beaming smile. There are soft movements of our mouths as I melt further into him. The rest of the city once again fading away. A hand placed against the small of my back to hold me steady as I get lost in the moment, making soft humms escape me.

We reluctantly break the kiss, knowing full well we could have stayed like that until morning came.

He looks at me with a certain expression... as if he wants to ask me to come with him home to be able to spend the rest of the evening just cuddling. But we both had agreed, not happily, on me not staying over too much.

"Trust me... I wish I could." I tell him, knowing the question swirled in his mind.

He sighs deeply- "I know."

His thumb stroking on my waist as he looks at me. "We will see each other tomorrow then." One last kiss is pressed against my lips, a long soft press- "Drive safe. Text me when you are home."

"I will. Give Raindrop a hug from me when you arrive home."

He was just sitting there, book in one hand and coffee cup in the other. The morning light was hitting him in the most perfect way, illuminating the strands of grey hairs that were subtly blended with the rest. Vega took a sip of of his brew and a drop stayed on his bottom lip, a gentle swipe of his thumb and it was gone. The image sent a rush through me, a big enough surge to make me realize I had been staring. Warmth spread over my cheeks as I try to collect myself from the sudden emotions. Every time I saw him, my mind kept replaying the kiss we shared. How his lips felt on me, how his hand graced across the skin of my hip to find its place on my ass. In that moment he had a certain determination that surprised me. The kiss had left me wanting more and every time I see him it made me want to push him up against the closest wall to get my fill.

My phone rings, snapping me out of the racing thoughts. "Hi sweetstuff!" I glance over at Vega as I say the words. He perks up, as if the word sweetstuff had been said to him. A nervous smile spreads across his face as a soft hint of red appears on his cheeks as he notices I was looking at him while answering my phone. That beautiful face once again making me loose focus.

Mumbled words are coming from the phone as my eyes stay looking at him. "Aurora.... are you even listening? Is Vega there, is that why you are distracted?" Dani's voice half annoyed and half in a chuckle. I don't answer her, just smile back at Vega, the blush deepens on my own cheeks. "I'm taking your silence as a yes on the Vega part." Dani continues speaking but I can barely hear the words as my brain is so focused on the hint of red on his face. "Mmhm. Yes see you soon." I reply as to try and hide the fact that I haven't registered anything coming from her. Ending the call without even letting her finish... I'm sure she will forgive me if I let her skip work a couple of days.

I grab two of the extra mini-cake samples I had gotten yesterday at the bakery I supply from and a spoon for tasting. "Taste samples. Let me know which one you like the most." The words come out gentle as I place down the plate in front of Vega. He looks up from his book- "Oh? You want my opinion?" "Mmhm" "What flavours are they?" He picks up the spoon to take a piece of one of the cakes. "No idea" I giggle- "You are getting the first test." His hand raises the spoon towards me- "No please. I insist." I playfully lean forward and take the first bite as I hold eye-contact, relishing in how he so gently presented it. "Tasty and sweet. Like you." A giggle escapes me after the words left my mouth. His eyes look away from mine as a dry short laugh leaves him. He adjusts himself as he clears his throat- "You shouldn't say these things, you are giving me ideas." The heat that has been present in my body grows stronger, gods this man is driving me crazy. My intrusive thoughts take over, I lean closer and whisper- "You mean the same ideas and thoughts that has been circling my brain since last week?" My hand tries to grip at the table, my body using every little shred of self control to keep myself off him. The words left him speechless it seems, all I could hear was his heavy breathing as his gaze shifts between my eyes and my lips.

"There is a storage out back if you two need it... for something!" Dani's voice interrupts the very intense moment between me and Vega.

My grip loosens and I see him scratch his neck in the most adorable nervous way. The boldness we both has seconds ago seemed to evaporate with Dani's statement.
