I step back to focus on what is important. Myself and the few close friends who stayed.
My shift has changed and it is noticeable.
I half say goodbye to parts of me I wish I had energy to cling on to, but no... I am drained.
The time I put in is now in other things and that's okay.

The lunch rush have finally calmed down.
I'm humming along to the soft music playing from the radio in the window as I clean up the few tables I have inside the shop. It was nice to finally take a few moments to slow down after what had been two hectic hours. My mind was wandering, trying to figure out what to do after I get off work.
"Hi!" A familiar little voice sound at my side, as I feel a little tap on the thigh. I look, it was Amana. The adorable little girl that had come with her babysitter about once a week since a few months back. It was always a joy seeing her. "Hi Amana!" I give her a soft smile as I tuck down the cleaning rag I had been using into my apron. "What can I get for you today? I got more of the lemonade you had last time if you would like that." "Hmm..." she did her usual adorable thinking face. "Yes! I want dad to taste it toooo." She dragged out the last word while looking back to the entrance of the shop.
The sentence piqued my interest, I had yet to meet her father. I tucked a rogue strand of my hair behind my ear as I shoot a look towards the entrance aswell. The man who walked in... wow, just wow.
He was wearing toned down colors and his hair up in a bun. The grey in his beard and hair hinting at him being older, but geez he looked like fine aged wine. In the most subtle way possible I scan my gaze over him. He steps to stand next to Amana. "Hi, Aurora is it?" He glances down at his little girl- "Ama has been talking about you at home and I thought I would come with her to finally say hi since it's my day off." His eyes goes from his daughter up to meet mine. There is a sudden warmth and tingle that spreads through my body, and my mind went "oh". A small hint of flush sneaks up across my cheeks. "Yes that's me." I give him a soft smile, trying to keep composure from the sudden burst of feelings. "Great to finally meet you. I'm Vega." "Great to finally meet you too." [ Aurora's first time meeting @herrhur 's Vega ♡ ]
