Some people wants to know about their future. Even me, I want to know what will I be in the next 10 years, am I going achieve something or not? Where will I be? What am I going to be doing?
But after reading this chapter, it makes me realize the weight of the sayings,
“ignorance is bliss”
I felt bad for Eren. When he kissed Historia’s hand, he was able to foresee his future. Imagine knowing everything and as you go on, you realized that you weren’t able to change anything. He had the choice to let his dear friends know about the future, but he chose to shoulder all the burden by himself. He willingly sacrificed himself for the future of others.
I don’t think it’s easy for him to do this mass-destruction, remember how he said “Fight” to his own reflection? I think at that time he almost lost his resolve, but he had to do this in order to save the others. It’s just sad knowing that the whole time he spent in Marley, or the whole time he was planning for this ‘moment’, there might be one or two times where he lost his motivation to fight, wanting to just go back to his friends, or just needed a pat on his back.
But no one is there.
He’s there alone, fighting the battles.
Isayama you have my respect! Shingeki No Kyojin is definitely the manga of the decade, and Eren, just wow...
What do you guys think about the new chapter?
Note. I don't justify Eren's decision on mass-killing.
