SNN OFF AIR: CLOSING

Hello everyone! We’re sorry to say this, but as of January 27, 2016, Seoul Now Network will be closing. Thank you for your support until now.

Even though the friends that have been created here are worth a million and Gukjoo and I (Jaesuk) treasure each member and those who even considered us. Gukjoo personally apologizes for not being able to successfully deliver the dream the two of us dreamed and worked so hard on.

Our attempts of revamping several times have failed even though we had prepared various future events. It came down to TWO admins who had no time for their own muses and were in over their heads trying to complete something big. We understand the disappointment and anger because we feel that ourselves but there is nothing to be done. We love you all so much, past and present members, which is why we decided that we will leave the AIM groupchat open to ALL of our members. This means that even if you were a member in the past, happening to come across this, if you would like to stay connected to the Network (or rather family) do not hesitate to contact a friend from SNN currently to add you in. One of our goals was to create a family-like atmosphere and we feel that we have achieved that much; being able to bring strangers from opposite worlds together to meet and become the best of friends was one of the best things to see as an admin here. So we would like to continue keeping the family as united as possible. It is still undecided if we will return when the two of us have more free time and enough hands to help. However, it has been a lovely run with you all. Again, we love you all so much, support, and wish the best and happiness for you all. Be healthy and take care!

For the month of December, we’re going to fill it with various movie nights, events, and also games! Allow this post to be the current master list of all the events and announcements.

* SECRET SNN-OWFLAKE !!!

The event coming up is: Secret SNNowflake (see what we did there). This is your typical secret santa event and we will personally do all the pairings. Please like this post by Saturday, December 12th, 2015 to be added into the event! It’ll be a fun way to make a new friend. Please do not sign up for the event if you cannot be here for the next two months. it is not fair to who has you or who you have. If any problems arise, please message us no later than the 16th for changes. More information will be announced with the official post on the 12th!

* SEASON MOVIE NIGHTS !!!

There will be four movie night, featuring only Christmas movies! The movie dates are:

December 12, 2015 : 10:00AM KST+9 (8PM EST, DEC11)

Season Greetings, viewers!

We are here today to inform you all that after our extended and unexpected hiatus, we have returned back just in time for the holidays! With our return, we have brought along two new MCs ( a new admin and moderator ) to help us make a huge comeback! We’re breaking out events for the Holiday season along with various movie nights over the next two weeks to get us in the spirit! We promise with this return, we’ll be better than ever and strive to stay and create the family environment we had always aimed for.

Greetings! For those who were accepted in the week of 7/26 to now, under cut you all will be receiving new buddies for a full two weeks until October 14th! Those on hiatus have been paired together. Changes may happen during the these weeks but for now, please go introduce yourself to your new buddy and have fun!

SEOUL NOW NETWORK 1.2

[ ATTENTION VIEWERS! ]

Hello and welcome back to SNN! That was one long commercial break. But now we’re back with new material for our loyal viewers. Let me introduce the small changes to SNN 1.2.

More updates will be coming to you guys via @SEOULNN on AIM. Things such as Movies Nights and Game Nights will be hosted twice a month, so look forward to those. Attend when you can so the network has a chance to bond.

To catch our updates on AIM, you do not even have to personally add/message us. Just simply go to lifestream.aol.com, search for seoulnn under people (right above the search bar) and tap the green follow button! After that, you will then be subscribed to our updates and free to comment as well. This should help members outside the groupchat feel included as well!

With the feedback, we have gotten some nice and ruthless netizen’s opinions on the events. We do agree that it’s coming out at a slow rate, but we’re trying our best. In the near future, we will try to overlap some events so more people may be shown. However, huge events with the whole directory will be rare and may only happen during important holidays. We will put out further information later to explain how our events run.

For our sake, we will only be publishing acceptances on Wednesdays and Saturdays. That means reservations will be different and held until the next acceptance date despite whatever day you reserved on. Reservations will be accepted during the week and are allowed extensions. It’s best to check our PUBLIC SPREADSHEET for reservations and acceptances.

New buddies will posted later today and we were able to mix up the whole directory! We used a random generator for all of the buddies and made sure to pair up hiatuses with each other.

And other opinions from the netizens, we decided to create a whole sideblog(still in progress) for the admins to interact with the members. It is a side blog for all four admins (though only two will mainly use it) so bare with us!

[ ATTENTION VIEWERS! ]

As the title suggests, we will be halting acceptances and going under a revamp starting today (8/28-9/6). During that time, we will be focusing on our current members and will be doing everything we promised from our Tablo’s Radio. That means prompts, starters, and interviews will be conducted during this time for our members. Our event will still be going on as the first mission will be posted later tomorrow on Saturday.

Any reservations made during this time (as well as current reservations) will be extended until the 9/7. For now, any future applicants, please draft your application and send it in the day we open the submit box.

We have been notified that there has been glitches in our inbox where certain messages have not been sent in and also warnings sent out have not been received. We are not sure of the reason why but we encourage people to send in their applications and ask twice and to pay attention to our spreadsheet for any updates.

And we’re back with information on the upcoming event! If you didn’t know, SNN will be having a small event, very soon with 6 members. Only two members have been confirmed so far with Sojin and Jay. Another four slots are open and this is how you will get a chance to earn the spot in our event.

During the week (08/12 - 08/19), a spy will be joining our directory. All you have to do is welcome the spy via ask. After the week ends, everyone who has sent in an ask to the spy will be placed into a random generator for the chance to earn one of the four slots.

You may welcome everyone that joins for a guaranteed chance to have gotten the spy. However, the ask you send must be a regular welcome (IC or OOC) and should not mention anything related to the spy. Whether the ask is answered privately or publicly, the spy will make note of every ask sent, so do not worry! The spy will report back to us at the end of the week with the list of names. Those who join during this week may also send welcomes to also earn a spot!

This a simple task to do, and it starts later with the first app to be accepted, good luck!

Hello broadcasters! MCs here to keep you guys updated with the current changes.

First off, for the first time ever, we’re introducing the circle icon! It’s very similar but in circle form for all of those different themes out there.

Second, we are trying our best to create a family atmosphere. Whether you are or are not in the AIM IC Groupchat, please still have our aim (@SeoulNN) on your contacts to see our updates whenever we have a game or a movie night so you may be included! Also, if you do not feel comfortable or welcomed in the groupchat, please let us know. Our members are trying their best and we’ll make sure to make you feel just at home!

And finally, we will be changing buddies in the next few days so please get close to your buddies while you still can, mostly for those accepted in the week of 7/26 - 8/1!
