“Hey watch the language. What would Sophie think of you talking like that huh?” Jack tutted at him before he landed lightly on his toes on one of the wore stone structures of the Warren. As easily as a little snowbird, he walked along the thin ledge as he spoke. “Well if you’re not in the mood for snow, then why are you asking me to hang around?” Jack asked, giving a slight tilt of his head, genuine curiosity on his face. “But…I guess I could. Not like I have anything else to do today. I already put the weather on the right path for the day. I dunno what’s up with Mother Nature this year, but…hey, not my place.” He gave a shrug.
“Though she’s gonna give people a heart attack with this super warm winter. I know -I’m- not too jazzed about it.” It was honestly strange to be pushed out of his usual territory by warm weather of all things, in December. He kicked lightly off the ledge and landed lightly next to the Pooka giving a motion of his head and a small smirk. “Lead on Cottontail~”
“You know, she’s not around, that’s the good thing because she can’ hear me. My warren, my language.” Aster watched Jack, his eyes followed every of Jacks movements. He looked elegant, just moving around like a snowflake. He looked away though as Jack started talking again, hoping he didn’t get caught watching him because really, that would be embarrassing and giving Jack more things to mock him about wasn’t what he wanted. “Well, my warren my rules, you won’t turn this into a winter wonderland, Frost.” Bunnymund pursed his lips while crossing his arms over his chest, slightly tabbing his foot to the grass. He looked back at the male when he landed next to him again. “I might enjoy your company sometimes. Hell, did I say that out loud?” The pooka rolled his eyes before uncrossing his arms. He then made his way to another part of his warren, a place shielded by a lot of plants leaving it like a dark cave, lighted by a few fireflies. “Maybe I am sick since I consider to share my hiding place with you.” There was a bed made out of grass and feathers, like a huge, comfortable nest.

The day had been normal, like every other day. Tadashi would be jerked awake by his phone alarm, drag his half dead body out of bed to drag another more smaller body out of his bed, and get ready for the school day. He did note one small change in his body, as he was brushing his teeth right after a shower, hair dripping droplets unto his face. His mark was slightly warm, an index finger roaming over it lightly to trace it’s shape. A slight snowflake. He always got made fun of for his mark, so rarely did he ever take his top clothing off in public.
The mark was on everyone, many shapes and sizes depending on that one’s soulmate. It was said that whenever you encountered your mate, the mark would glow on each of you, and you would know that you two were meant to be. It has been this way for many generations, everyone the same, finding their mate at ages usually ranging from 18-57. Just about everyone Tadashi knew had found their lover’s, except for him. He wasn’t too worried about it really, when the time come’s, it will.
Normal school day, normal lunch, normal everything. Except.
“Hiro, slow down! No running through crowd’s, you know I have trouble finding you that way. Plus, it’s getting colder so we gotta head home buddy!”
Tadashi was trying to catch up to his little brother so they could bring dinner home, when he felt a white hot heat flash his chest, where his mark was. He gasped lightly, eye’s widening as he tugged his collar down to peer at it, smiling when it was glowing a soft white blue. He looked around, but to his slight bewilderment, no one was showing the same signs as him...
