lol that is hilarious. I love when that happens. So you are making a blue/black deck? I never have much luck playing blue myself. I have a few friends who do and they make it seem so fun and I try and I just get bored. Delver is a good card tho.

Yeah, blue was the first color of magic I picked up. Illusions tribal and mill. God it was awful! But I learned a lot, made some changes, found a weird card called Delver of Secrets and hey, I'm already playing like, 20 spells in the deck, he should flip... Wait, pros do this? I'm only like, four cards away from a pro deck? That I made myself? Sweet!

Yeah, I love that card. Made me happy I could at least tell a card is good by myself sometimes. 

But yeah, modern (because I'll set limits for myself) U/B deck to mess around with my friends. I'm a better player than them (they're learning) and I wanna make something I still find fun to pilot but gives them a chance. So, stuff like Hedron Crab (love the little guy), Breaking//Entering, Visions of Beyond (I wish I could use Glimpse the Unthinkable but its 23 bucks what the hell!), Archive Trap with Ghost Quarters backup, and then stuff to attack the hand and counters. 

...Man, that's still an evil idea. Well, it's better than my delver or affinity deck....

Playing against mill decks always aggravates me lol but its a good deck type. I think Mesmeric orb is modern and its pretty effective. You just need a safety catch for yourself.

Oh, I remember playing someone who had a better deck than me and was about my level of skill. He beat me game one but kept getting mad when I countered or milled and made misplays. I sided in every single counter I had and pissed him off enough I rode my way to victory. Man that was great.

I'm thinking of adding in leyline of the void and delver of secrets. Big threats, don't need to rely on the mill, shuts down graveyard shenanigans (yes it hurts visions of beyond but hey), and gives me beaters. It might work. Won't be tier one but... hey, could be fun.
