If They Screw Karen Over Again, I’m Going Full Kastle
Okay, I need to rant for a second because I’ve been shipping Matt and Karen since day one, and no other ship, I repeat, no other ship hits like they do. The slow burn? Absolute masterpiece. It wasn’t forced or overhyped, it was real, it was awkward, and it built up from genuine friendship. That’s what made it special, watching two broken people find something soft in each other amid all the chaos.
THIS PART THO 🥹❤️🩹....
Season 2 messed me up, though. The chemistry was still there, palpable, but then Elektra swoops in and suddenly Matt’s out here acting like an emotionally unavailable idiot. Like, sir ... you had something real with Karen, and you blew it because you couldn’t keep your broody vigilante heart in check?
Classic.
And yes, yes, I saw the Kastle spark too. Frank and Karen’s scenes had insane tension — I literally screamed. But Frank… oh, my Frank… he pushed her away every time things got too real. Especially when it came to Matt. Like, deep down he knew he wasn’t the one for her. He respected her too much to drag her into his storm, which is actually kinda heartbreaking.
Then season 3 rolls around, and Karen and Matt finally drop the walls. No pretense, no games just raw honesty. And that? That’s what sold me completely. (That S2 hospital scene in Punisher.... still lives in my head rent-free).
Now, with Elektra supposedly returning, I’m begging the writers — please don’t give Karen the season 2 treatment or, god forbid, Heather Glenn her. Karen’s not disposable. She’s literally one of the few people who keeps Matt human (Foggy too, obviously). If they mess her arc up again? I swear I’m flipping tables, going full Kastle mode out of spite, and Matt Murdock can stay single forever in my book.
