Fun facts to remember about OCs in the fantasy AU
Rei has a lot of connections to the underworld of my world. Like a freakishly huge amount. She gained most of them from trying to find her sister… and also from being a sword for hire, but that is beside the point! And not to mention it’s a little freaky that any attempted muggings/stabbings end with her staring directly at who is about to do so and them running away. What’s her history? Good luck with that thick, locked book.
Leiko is the queen of this world, ruling proudly next to the king. She has no time for gender politics and literally is the one making all the calls. The court loves her and usually follows in favor to her decrees versus her husband. And when I say the court loves her I mean they try to BE her. It’s just a little creepy but she adores their adoration and may or may not use it against them. Queen will slaaaaay you. Literally.
Juno has no clan. She left when she was young to serve the Royal Family as a healer and advisor. She likes to play the broken bird trope A LOT but be careful because she’ll slit your throat faster than you can say “knife eared bitch”. She brings her guards along with her for protection, that’s true, but she also brings them as a threat and a display as her power. And her honest to goodness power is her thighs. She crush you with them.
Nami has been drunk since two weeks ago. She’s always drunk or on herbal pain killers or smoking something that helps her body not hurt constantly. She is in a super illegal fighting ring and even though she kicks everyone’s ass, she still gets really bruised and bloodied. Which is what bodies tend to do when you get pummeled to the point of mush in human skin. She also has been doing this to find her little sister. Aww, tough girl has a terribly soft inside.
James was dead. Literally his brain stopped working and his heart was without a beat and that might make him a little… quirky? He’s about as cold as ice. He groans a lot when he eats food, even terrible food, because he went to so long with out it. He also may or may not have to occasionally eat a human? Because they have the humanity that he no longer has?? It keeps him alive??? Judgements are not accepted????
Helene has known no other life than that of a necromancy… more like she cannot remember. She was pretty sure she was a priestess before hand because one day she woke up with all these little wood figures of Goddesses but no memories of them. Oh yeah, her memories were wiped by the person that introduced her into the dangerous world of raising and contacting the dead. She doesn’t even know who THEY are. She just woke up with a note that said “welcome to your greatest nightmare” and a little heart. Dick.
Liz was stolen by poachers and sold into slavery. There’s where queen Leiko bought her because “omg she’s so cute honey can we get her”. Bro just because she’s a naga doesn’t mean she won’t literally wreck you. She works in the science labs and has a love/hate relationship with it because she was forced to work here, but dammit it’s her passion. And she discovered the poultice that grants her legs rather than a giant fucking tail by trying to make a poison that’d kill someone without a trace. Yay science!
Jacqueline is a bitch. She is a genocidal maniac who has no care for those that are living. The end. Buh-bye.
Sorina is literally the most insane dwarf alive. She used her arm as a bomb and then made herself a metal prosthetic that is bomb resistant. She’ll explode before her arm does. Generally always has some sort of soot on her, so keep open flames away from her because she could just up and combust. Btw have I mentioned she is literally the dwarf who designed the current castle for queen and king. She knows all the secret passage, so watch your ass. She has a penchant for scaring guests.
