Ooooo ok The Curse of No'Dure sounds like a really cool concept:0 What does it mean the world acts against itself? Like what's an example? I could see that meaning several different things but all of them sound really neat^_^
That is a wonderful question! There are a few things that happened on that timeline that made me sum it up as "The world acts against itself".
1. Garron No'Dure was at the epicenter of a major human kingdom. When the curse fell he broke a major rule against humans and started attacking other human kingdoms.
2. As human alliances fell, their outside allies began to falter. Humans in Abberanth are already a rarer species. Some races sought to preserve humans (some of them a little wrong but their hearts were in the right place), Some thought it easier to just wipe them off the planet, others didn't care but would get drug in by allegiances pulling their weight. This would cause fighting amongst the other races.
3. The other important bit? The curse also effected animals and monsters. Things that were usually docile (mimics were once a docile race and didn't have many of them) became agitated and spread rampantly. Herbivores became carnivorous, and visa versa. Plants began to fight and bleed. Nature itself was uprooting
I hope this answered your question. ^w^
