With work, I'm very labored and take a long time and it creates a lot of anxiety making big decisions. But once I've made the decision, I'm very disciplined about never looking back.
Everybody, at some point in their life, has fallen down and not felt like getting back up, but you have to, no matter how difficult it is.

My mum has always been my greatest supporter, and instilled in me a belief that, really anybody is capable of doing anything as long as you march in the direction of your dreams, and understand that it’s gonna be a lot of hardship and failure along the way. The key to reaching your destination is knowing that and having the conviction and strength to pick yourself up every time you fail and dust off and try again.
There’s definitely a huge number of L.A. police who seem to like Sons of Anarchy. When the show was on, I’d ride my bike to work a little faster than California law would allow. And I got pulled over my fair share. It didn’t always work, but maybe two or three times I didn’t get a ticket. It was very handy.
I don't just look at things as an actor. I've also written several films, so I look at it as a storyteller and I know if something worked and should have been in there for the benefit of the story and the benefit of the character.
You know what? Being an actor is fantastic because you get to live your dreams and all of that, but I always think it's slightly irritating when you hear from the outside world and people are like, "Yeah, well if I was an actor and all I had to do was look good, I could be that ripped too." Well I've got news for you, man! I work 15 hours a day and still go to the gym. Most people work eight hours a day and say "I haven't got time to work out." Bulls***! If you want to be super-fit and look ripped then you find the time no matter what.
