[grian voice] Welcome to Sober Life. A hardcore SMP where 13 minecraft YouTubers are not allowed to smoke, drink, or snort until they reach their red life. At the start of the session we are each given a random unmarked pill i received in my Halloween candy. When you turn red all obligations are out the window and you can sell to anybody. There’s going to be a lot more surprises in store so let’s dive right in

sober life was my favourite season ever i think my favourite moment might be when scott gave pearl his naltrexone unprompted then got annoyed about her not returning his amazing good guy favour later......... so glad she took his final life

the undertones of that moment were so messed up considering pearl was one of the first greens to give some of her naltrexone to the reds. then her pharmacy said that her meds history didn’t line up with the refill request and she was removed from her healthcare plan which made her red instantaneously.

literally why else would scott do that if not to remind her that she can be dependent on him, yknow, if she wants … remember how i cared for you? her kill was so satisfying even though she was convinced he gave it to her on purpose again. we know next season scott will continue to leverage it over her head

need to hear your analysis on the ren/grian dynamic for sober life. i’m usually a ren main but i haven’t had the chance to catch up. the bunny suit was his idea wasn’t it.

OF COURSE the bunny suit was rens idea. grian sent him a casino dealer skin variant (similar to his) but ren didn't use it because he wanted to pitch this new persona to him

so if you havent caught up, grian opened a casino because he thought he could replace everyones drug addiction with a gambling one instead. ren offered to advertise the shtick and bring people in. the problem was people only used the machines once and left because it was boring. so ren and grian decided that he would speakeasy his casino and let people have complimentary "straws and sugar" on a dish which ren would pass around like a waiter while people played. so ren made himself the honorary "coke bunny" which grian did not tell him to do. and now hes the mascot/face. and they have an uneasy pact with martyn who is their supplier.

grian says he doesn't care what ren does but actually does a lot. he thinks rens coke bunny act makes their business look undignified but he also doesnt want to start an unnecessary fight or explain why. so he just micromanages ren and calls him into his office to complain about his behaviour

ren has taken a pact to stay with grian but vents about his treatment to anyone who will listen. mostly so people pity him and visit a lot more often (thus making business boom). he stays because he fully believes they're gonna win the series and grian is just looking out for them

really appreciated cc!scars commitment to the bit and having an edible before each session its how i found out weeds legal in his state. honestly more people shouldve but also half of them are british so I GUESS its fine.

people forget that grian did send an unmarked pill to the lifers houses and had them sign a waiver that he wasnt responsible if they responded negatively to mdma. scar was the only one exempt from both the waiver and pill because grian was concerned it might harm him permanently so he sent him thc cookies instead. scar ended up liking it a bunch and apparently after the series grian still sends him some as a gift

iirc joel tried getting some for him and lizzie to try on their red life but it ended up being 90% oregano
