Since I’m sober-curious I decided to try it out on NYE because I imagine that’s one of the hardest ones and honestly it was pretty cool. I’m looking forward to dry January 👍

Loving Presence
I believe we are the only ones who can be there for ourselves unconditionally. No one else has ever or will ever be able to do this. And so we become our own parents. And we can do it, the parenting, in a gentle, loving way. #valentinesday #selfcare
I feel that I am slowly adjusting to the reality of the commitment I have made to myself to remain alcohol-free, and I have to say that it feels so right and good. I like myself a lot better. I have never been an out-of-control, hitting rock-bottom drinker. My friends are a little surprised when I tell them I have a problem with alcohol, and I don’t mind being open about that because there’s no…

Embracing Sober Curious Travel
For many, drinking is a cultural experience. It’s something that people do when they visit with friends, attend special events or escape on a vacation. It’s associated with fun and relaxation, holidays and celebrations. However, as dear as our drinking customs may be, anyone who has enjoyed one beverage too many can vouch for alcohol’s adverse effects. It’s these same unpleasant consequences that have nudged many to become what Author Ruby Warrington refers to as ‘Sober Curious’ as they begin to explore their relationship with alcohol and its role in their life.
And just as bars and restaurants are showing their support through N/A offerings like Instagrammable mocktails and alcohol-free beers, it’s important for travel advisors to explore how they can best serve Sober Curious travelers as the movement continues to grow.

When I was drinking, and particularly as I approached the end of my drinking career, I was a faded, bloated, mess. My skin and hair were dry and dull. My nails were cracked and brittle. My eyes had no sparkle. My face was constantly puffy. I looked tired. All. The. Time. Where I was once athletic and toned, I had become extremely overweight. I would look at myself in the mirror or see pictures of…

Never Running Out and No Longer Running Away
I’ve ditched the alcohol now. And I no longer want to escape. I don’t want to move to a Central American country. I want to be right here. With my family. I cherish my time with them. I don’t want a different job. I want this one.... #sobercurious #health
I never thought it possible when I quit drinking but actual days and weeks go by and I don’t think about it at all now. I used to think about drinking, and then not drinking, and then more drinking literally every day! This morning on my way to work I thought to myself “ how the hell did I ever do this hungover ?” Honestly, I don’t know how I did it but I know I felt like shit every day. How…

Get A Refund on the Alcohol Tax
Sobriety seems like something you could maybe tolerate, but never enjoy? Nothing I feared about sobriety is true. Life isn’t boring. I’m not boring. I’m rediscovering joy. #sobercurious #alcoholawarenessmonth #alcoholfree #lovelife
April 18 is tax day in America, which falls in the middle of Alcohol Awareness Month. This made me consider how alcohol was taxing me for decades. And I was not aware that alcohol was Taxing Me It starts out so innocently, at a party with really fruity punch (spiked with grain alcohol), then leads to fun happy hours with co-workers, parties with a few hundred close friends, ladies’ nights on…

Never Running Out and No Longer Running Away
Sobriety is NOT the end goal, It’s the foundation. And for me, it is the foundation of a Sober Practice – practicing how I want to be in the world and of the world without substances clouding my way. #sobriety #alcoholfreelife #sober
