Summer of Love Pulp Printing at Shotwell Paper Mill.
When in a papermill, one must make paper, and invite guests to make paper!
As part of The Rhinoceros Project’s stint at Shotwell Paper Mill, we set up a make-and-take papermaking & pulp printing studio.
Step 1: Sheet Formation. Michelle guides participants in pulling foundation sheets.
Step 2: Pulp Printing. Using pigmented pulp paint and stencils cut from craft foam, we all made some pretty awesome Summer of Love inspired pulp prints.
Chelsea Herman came to sew and make paper!
Step 4: Dry Box Loading. Post pressing (not pictured), all sheets were transferred to the dry box while The Rhinoceros lays in rest.
