the meme where you post the last line from your WIP! I got tagged by @mandaloriandy ! because my actual WIP is an exchange fic and I’m keeping it under lock and key for now, here’s the last line from sweet music’s next chapter, still in the works:
“Yeah, ew,” Eddie says, very carefully maneuvering the car in order to park it. His eyes flick from the road to the rear view mirror, never quite looking right at Richie. It’s sort of cute, his strict adherence to this safety rule when Richie’s seen him drive like a stunt driver on a Fast & Furious movie. “I don’t know. I want to do an interview but I’ve seen how people get when you do interviews.”
“Eh, it won’t be that wild,” says Richie, with a casual shrug. “You’re an indie act, Eddie. You’ll probably set the indie circles on fire, but you’re not gonna start a Twitter shitstorm just ‘cause somebody took a quote from you out of context.”
“Twitter shitstorms have started over less famous people than either of us,” says Eddie.
tagging @words-writ-in-starlight @sockablock and whoever else might want to do this!
Okay, so I don’t usually do these, but I really feel like I’ve met/started following a couple of people in this community that really deserve some recognition. So I want to take a minute or two and do that.
Squishy feels below the cut:
I’m starting this off right with @princessamericachavez: If you don’t follow her, you should. Her CR meta (and all of her meta... and content... everything she produces, y’all) is riveting and well thought-out and honestly the kind of content that I look forward to reading. There are just some people whose thoughts I enjoy hearing, even when I don’t agree with all of it, and Sofia is one of them. (And if you really feel like crying, check out the 2 years later fic she posted this evening. I was in tears.)
Next up is @whalohs: Again, incredible meta. If you’re looking for someone to present logical and sound theories backed up with evidence from episodes and just general understanding of the human condition, look no further, because it’s right there. I genuinely look forward to the meta that comes from J after each episode--quality content, y’all. Just saying.
Following that up with @disasterhumans. Can you tell I love reading CR meta???? I really, really do. And this is yet another place that I go for quality content at the end of an episode and the days following. To top it all off, the humor and perspective provided in both reblogs and original content. Also, as someone with a huge bias for Team Human, this is the exact kind of content I’m looking for on my dash on the regular.
More recently, there’s @darlingderolo @kimabutch @sockablock and @cinnabi who I haven’t been following for as long, but am genuinely really pleased to stumble across on my dash. I look forward to keeping up with your content in the new year and hopefully getting to know you better!!
And last, but certainly not in any way least, is @xhorass. Rey has been incredible since we started talking a month or two ago. And I’m talking about putting up with my rambling about fics and theories and Caleb and feels. Also keeping up with my screaming about C1 as I do my rewatch. To top it all off, Rey is super duper fucking sweet and an incredible writer with great insight and critiques??? And just a really big, kind heart. I’m so grateful to have met you this year and to get to know you better in 2019.
I’ve only been in the CR community for a few months, and this is only a fraction of all of the incredible critters out there producing content and creating a community that promotes love and acceptance, and I can’t wait to meet more of you in the upcoming time (years? months? who knows with this hellsite.) Anyway, I was emotional and wanted to post this. Sorry for rambling.
Happy Holidays to everyone! And a happy New Year!!

It's always been there. Watching, waiting to consume. Stories are a part of its… feeding of sorts, right?
It’s been watching him and the Institute since day one, but probably longer.
First day he brushes off being watched as new job jitters. You can blame hallucinations on drugs and drinking. He has a point. But then the feeling doesn't go away. Two days pass, then three, suddenly a whole week, and that gaze keeps following you.
You don't know how long it follows you either.
[Also known as: Jonathan Sims and the consistently growing feeling of being watched.]

@sockablock this is for you sock thanks for listening to my crack rambling
@sockablock got a great thing goin' on right over here! This is from chapter two and I'm honestly hooked. They really know the Nein and it's evident in their writing and it's wonderful. Just wonderful. Also, kleptomaniac Nott is best Nott. Also Best Friend Nott is best Nott. Who said they're mutually exclusive?
