~ THE BIOGRAPHY ~

Sofia’s mother came from a wealthy family in Faerune who were descendants of Seelie Courtiers who perished in the war. Believing themselves to be better than most others, they kept a strict household to maintain the purity of their home. But Sofia’s mother fell in love with a werewolf and got pregnant with him, resulting in her banishment. The two left Faerune and settled in New Jersey, where Sofia’s mother gave birth to her older brother, Matthew. Four years later, Sofia was born.
They were a happy family, all things considered, though Sofia could tell her mother missed her homeland. Then, when Sofia was five, her father was killed by hunters, not having the protection of the Faerune laws. It broke Sofia’s mother, and she watched her mom fall into a deep depression. Her brother began to pull away, and when she was ten, he ran away from home to join a pack. This caused Sofia’s mother to grow worse, and, at sixteen and desperate to keep her small family together, Sofia went to find Matthew and bring him home.
Instead, she found him living on a commune, practically in a cult. When she tried to convince him to come home, he refused, insisting it was better for him there and she should join too. They’d be protected from hunters, have a real family. Sofia tried to remind him that he already had a family, to no avail. She went home alone. She began working to help her and her mother get along, but one day, the day of her twenty-first birthday, she woke to find her mother had disappeared, gone with only a note saying she was returning “to the Wild.”
Full of anger, hurt, and desperation, Sofia decided to return to the commune pack with weapons, determined to get her brother out even if it meant holding the alpha at gunpoint and forcing them to let him go. Instead, she was greeted with the body of her brother, dead. She was told he’d died in an accident, but she could see the wolf bite marks and claw wounds on him.
She had to bury him alone, and in the end she saw only one course of action: return to Faerune to find her mother. Two years in, she’s had no luck in finding her mother, but she’s working on a plan to get her revenge on everyone responsible for her family falling apart.
