headcanons about Sofimane and Elu all being super close in the future and more about their work and families (for this sweet anon) (this is going to be a long one)
Eliott and Sofiane eventually reconnect and become the great friends they once were along with Idriss. When he sees all of them together, Lucas can see why they are friends because they have such similar spirits.
Idriss usually tags along on the double dates at the request of Imane because she and Sofiane are taking things slowly and the dates just become pure fun.
Lucas and Imane’s friendship continues to grow and they end up going to the same university to study the same thing.
They both became doctors. Imane has always wanted to be a doctor, as stated by Sofiane. Lucas (who is named after the patrons of artists, physicians, and surgeons) also thought about becoming a doctor but when his life started going sideways he gave up on the idea. By the end of high school and with a lot of effort, he ended up getting in the same university as Imane making her radiant with the idea of studying with one of her best friends.
Imane becomes a surgeon, once again breaking more stereotypes that female doctors should be in more caring and feminine specialties like a family doctor or a pediatrician. (can you see that I'm projecting my own feelings and desires)
Funnily enough, Lucas becomes a pediatrician. He loves taking care of children and since he had such a rough childhood and teenage years he feels like this is the right job to make sure no other kids have to go through what he went.
Eliott gets in art school and becomes a movie animator and illustrator. He ends up getting a job at a major animation company and he loves it.
Sofiane eventually decides to go to university to become a social worker and he keeps working at the youth centre but now he has more legal means to act and help more needing families.
With Sofiane’s help, Lucas volunteers at the youth centre to provide care to the families that don’t have enough money. He also volunteers at an LGBTQ+ youth shelter to help struggling kids like he once was. He talks to them a lot about what he went through and gives them great pieces of advice.
Imane also helps him a lot, volunteering as well, especially because some girls feel more comfortable talking to another woman and Imane is always there for them.
Eliott paints a mural in both places to bring some joy to these buildings that are now someone’s current homes.
The two couples eventually get married and you can only imagine how beautiful both ceremonies were.
They all have weekly dinners with the rest of the gang and it’s like they are high schoolers again.
Imane and Sofiane talk a lot about having kids and how once the compromised on 4. When Imane finds out she’s pregnant, she plans to tell Sofiane by buying a little tiger plushie. As soon as he sees it he starts crying because he immediately gets it. They have a little girl with curly dark hair and beautiful dark eyes.
Sofiane likes to dance with the baby around the kitchen even if Imane is constantly telling him that the baby will throw up on him. When it happens he doesn’t care and keeps dancing.
Lucas and Eliott also talk a lot about having kids. When they moved, because they both have a comfortable income, they chose a 3 bedroom apartment. Besides their room, they have a room turned into an office for when Eliott works from home and a spare room for when they decide to have a baby.
Lucas has always told Eliott that he wants more than one kid because even though he is an only child, he had Yann as a brother figure and he wants that for his kids.
They apply for adoption, with Sofiane’s help, and end up being chosen by a pregnant mother with twins.
Lucas calls Imane telling her he is already winning on the number of kids. Eliott and Sofiane sigh because everything is a competition for those two.
Eliott gets scared about is bipolar disorder and how it might affect his role as a father, but with the help of his therapist and Lucas and a very reassuring talk with Basile's mother (who went through the same thing) he becomes more and more confident.
Even though Lucas treats kids for a living and helps parents taking care of their kids, the nearer the due date is the more nervous he gets. One the day they are assembling the cribs, Lucas starts freaking out and a tired Imane, with her now one-year-old girl at her hip, is the one to talk some sense to Lucas and an also scared Eliott in the background.
They welcome a girl and boy to their house and the couple couldn't be happier.
When Imane has to work nights she always finds Sofiane and their kids (now three, two girls and a boy, currently aiming for the fourth) in bed sleeping soundly waiting for her. She can’t believe how lucky she is.
When Lucas works nights, Eliott sometimes puts the twins and the new baby girl (currently tied with Sofiane and Imane on the baby competition) in their car seats, goes to a drive-thru to get burgers and calls Lucas to go to the parking lot. The whole family has dinner in the car with the twins loudly talking about their day and the baby laughing at her siblings even if she doesn’t understand a thing. It eventually becomes a tradition.
On one of their weekly dinner with the gang, Imane announces she pregnant with her fourth child. Lucas immediately looks at Eliott and Eliott tells him “No no, the factory is closed, three kids are more than enough. This is the kind of competition you can’t win”.
As a consolation, Lucas becomes the godfather of the new baby boy and even though he loves all of his “nieces and nephews” the same, his love for this boy is immense and it’s almost like he got his fourth kid.
